OtisNixonFan Verified Member Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Strikeout #5 for Castro - Knee buckling slider for a strike, then comes back with a high 90s fastball at the knees for strike 3 King any idea where I can read a scouting report on Castro?
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Castro is good > Tirado and Labourt
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 In A-ball level the pitchers should win the games with just 4 innings
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Castro is too good for these terrible College hitters

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Roberto Osuna will be ready to go in couple of weeks
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Awesome re Laguna He could be a top prospect if he gets back on track...
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 He hasn't even turned 19 yet! Such a high ceiling guy And typo obv Osuna not Laguna. LOL
ace3113 Verified Member Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Man, if Zak Wasilewski can only limit the walks he'd be golden. Really good stuff for a lefty. 5ip 4h 1er 3bb 5so

Caper Verified Member Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Cool article on Blue Jays 15th ranked prospect.... Frank Viola III http://sports.nationalpost.com/2014/06/16/toronto-blue-jays-minor-leaguer-frank-viola-iii-seeks-rebirth-on-and-off-the-field-as-a-knuckleballer/
RIPEXPOS Verified Member Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 How would you guys rank our pitching prospects? I'm going to go out on a limb and consider Stroman graduated... And in that case, I am pretty tempted to rank Norris #1 ATM. The rare nasty stuff/no control guy who finds control. No homers given up, 4/1 K/BB ratio... not to mention the 6-0 record and 1.22 ERA (I know, I know, just shows his dominance is yielding team results). I know Sanchez has been the guy around here for a while, but Norris in less time has made more adjustments, and while he isn't quite as nasty, he's still a nasty lefthander...
RIPEXPOS Verified Member Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Norris Sanchez Hoffman Osuna Nolin Reid-Foley That looks pretty good, that's an impressive group of prospect arms, even moreso if you include Stroman. You could make the argument Stroman, Sanchez, and Norris are all top 50 prospects, Hoff and Osuna big time talents on the mend, Nolin I'm a bit meh about, but Reid-Foley is filthy as f*** and definitely was a 1st round round talent.

I still have osuna over Hoffman, he's gonna be in double A by this time next year.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 so many pitchers... I just wish we had a hitter or two performing at higher levels.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Andy Burns was always just a guy. Isn't he also the guy who said (on Twitter maybe) that walks are meaningless? Brad Glenn
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Great news! Fully extinct is the best way to be.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Fully extinct is the best way to be. I like my ballplayers to be functionally illiterate. If they can read just enough .... we're good.
