Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Barreto is too good for NWL, should have started in Lansing. The guy is just a tool box. Let him to learn how to play the game. Can use his speed - NO Can catch or throw the ball - NO Can he identify balls from strikes - NO
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 After just one game, people think that he is going to win a batting title? He did have a good game. According to what i have read, there is only one player on the Canadians who has ever won a batting title in College (D1) or in pro ball - and that player wasn't in the line up last night. A player can have a good night, and even a good series or 2, but career stats are usually an indicator as to what a player is capable of. Players can develop power as they mature, but few "athletes" can be developed to be MLB baseball players and win batting titles. The fact that Kalfus wasn't sent to at least Dunedin to start 2014 is a fireable offence by AA.

GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 When is Osuna due back? I think late this year with some AFL action but I could be wrong.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 I think late this year with some AFL action but I could be wrong. Comes back, dominates Afl and High A then kills AA. STUD!
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Jesus Christ Ang. Translates to Ang "Roberto, you are my main rookie pitcher in my league of fantasy...... Get better soon, I need you lol" Roberto says..whatever this is http://i.imgur.com/gkMEL9q.png "You know I don't quit; when you least expect i will be there. Best regards"

GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 DJ Davis needs to be hitting for a 140 wRC+ as a 21 year old at A ball to have a league average bat. He is at 81.

It's silly to say that he "needs" to be hitting that at this point but regardless, you're right, he's basically a bust already.

I see your point, but "needs" more or less means "JFaS' study found it ideal" http://www.breakingblue.ca/2014/02/04/projecting-hitting-prospects-mlb-primes/
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Can somebody tell me why there hasn't been any Dunedin games in the past three days?

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Rob Fai "Castros changeup is 86-87 MPH, it's an average pitch" "Castros slider is almost like a slurve, it's not just left to right sweeping slider, plus pitch" Pineda-esque
