    Sanchez is not a 1 pitch wonder or failed starter yet. Biggest change happened when he was removed from his automatic 8th inning role. Since that, around Sept.23, he has been able to pitch to both side of the plate. Especially to the glove side thus improving numberst against LHB. The running fastball in the RH batters box seems to have diminished. His curve and changeup have the potential to be plus if allowed to develop, perhaps that should have been done this year in Buffalo. As long as Gibby is in charge I am afraid Sanchez, Ozuna and others may never get that chance to develop as a starter. Gibby kept talking about Stroman coming back in the pen while AA always stated the opposite. Gibby loves a dominant bullpen, seems like he prefers Price in the pen as well. Sanchez pitches still have the same velo and movement but to both side of the plate. Does anybody see anything different mechanically?Position on the rubber? Something is different.

Best I've seen him in a while #BlueJays Tirado working easy at 95-96. Touched 97 with late arm-side run. Couple sharp SL's at 85-86. Free and easy delivery. #BlueJays

    Good then keep a disgruntled employee, They are always essential to a well run organization. Face the facts here, Orioles there is no upside here. If I am the Jays, I offer next to nothing. It maybe more valuable for the Jays to have a pissed Duquette running the O's. Just like the Jays with Farrel, there is no value in holding out.

    Not caring too much by the suspension. Don't want pitchers' throwing at batters' head, but it's about time a starting pitcher for the Jays attempting to protected his team mates. Last Jays SP to do this that I can remember was Todd Stottlemeyer, maybe Boomer Wells. As great as Doc was, he never did. Jesse Carlson threw at Jose Posada. Stroman is a rookie, but among his team mates, especially their leader Jose Batista, he has climbed the pecking order.

    Several of these pitchers will probably return to Florida for some work in the Instructional League. Borucki should be in Lansing next spring. Thoughts on Connor Greene as a possibility. Improved over the summer, maybe not enough

    It's only natural for any player to want their Management Team to add talent any time of year. As much as it is refreshing to heard them state their opinions to the media, commenting on what your GM/Ownership did or didn't do at the trade deadline has no real upside. Outside of throwing the GM under the bus. more importantly it says to the rest of your teammates "we are not good enough to win with the talent we presently have." Even though it was not your intent, Jose and Casey are also throwing some of your teammates under the bus as well. I know it is a business, but they are also athletes where where confidence is king. Casey as much as the Jays have benefited from your consistency as closer, it is time you hit the road. As for Batista, I am not as sure. This might be irrelevant but Jose is one of the few left over from the "Meltdown in Maryland" of 2009. Even last year Mark DeRosa said that there was something not right in that clubhouse. Finally. if that was what the players' primary focus was on, then the biggest problem was in the clubhouse not on the field.

    While I agree that Pentecost and Barreto deserve a promotion, the Jays tend to value minor league playoff runs more. Promoting anybody from Vancouver to Lansing should never be thought of as being too aggressive. It's almost a side ways move. Jays would have to decide whether to promote Lugo to Dunedin.

    Jays are not at their limit and there is talent still unsigned. Jays have paid tax in the past. The draft still remains one of the most efficient ways to add talent. If the Jays are too cash strapped to add a few hundred thousand to their draft budget, then we should stop wondering if they could add a few million at the trade deadline.

    A's stole nobody. They paid a steep price. In the end they were the only willing and able to pay that price.
