You're loaded, and definitely all in. The farm and picks are scorched-earth empty, but it's worth it.

Ryan Boldt hasn't even been drafted yet but he's probably my most valuable piece.

You might need a shortstop and a couple SP 5s, but yeah your team should be a beast again next year.

I never understood BTS' deep desire to move Turner, and I still don't.

I think the Dodgers should get Turner some reps at SS in September, just in case Jimmy Rollins has an allergic reaction to ragweed, or something.

Man, I sure hope the Dietrich hype train fares better than the Montgomery one.

 

20-25 HR pop with a solid walk rate, nothing wrong with that as a 3B/OF. There's nothing in his K rate or BABIP to make me think a collapse is coming, although I wouldn't expect his ISO to remain to robust over the long term. He's not really a strong sell candidate at this point anyway, since there's very little hype for him at the moment.

Well he's hitting a lot of flyballs in Marlins park. Both the ISO and BABIP will shrink eventually, it's just a question of how much.

I would expect his career line (110 wRC+) or a bit better next year, with 20 HR in a full season. As I said yesterday, I really don't see much separation between him and Kyle Seager going forward, although Seager has much more name value.

Yes - Shoemaker for Dillon Tate. Kind of a weird one for BTS to make, he doesn't usually trade projectable MLB assets for low minors lottery ticket guys without a lot of data.
