I didn't even now who she was until just now. The weird morbid legacy of Whitney Houston continues. From what little I just read, there doesn't really seem to be any explanation as to how she ended up in that tub in the first place. R.I.P. Twenty-two is an obscenely young age to pass away.

Here are the primary reasons that I see for TCA's failure this year:

 

- substantial time missed by Puig, Strasburg and Rendon

- too many awful PAs given to Andrus and Leonys Martin

- terrible bullpen

 

Also, having 5 bench players on your offense is far too many, that needs to be 2-3 max. Not enough SP or BP depth as a result.

I'm predicting a loss this week against BALCO, I've got one-start weeks from Sale, Bumgarner and Kazmir.

I don't think CatsAss should rebuild. He has a ton of quality major league talent that could be the foundation of a great team in 2016. Some of his farm is replaceable though so moving one good bat for a couple top prospects may make sense.

 

Someone like Adrian Gonzalez or Carlos Gomez or Adam Jones? I tried dangling them for prospects but no one was interested.

I like my team's chances this week. Dinger's team isn't as formidable as it was last year but then neither is mine. Should be a good matchup.

Another interesting schedule quirk, I can't confirm this since I'm at work but I think that jaysblue and I have a near identical schedule for the last six weeks, and we are tied for the division lead at the moment.
