Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 When was our cutdown date last year? Did we wait until Yahoo opened up? Feb/15 hombre!
TheHurl Site Manager Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 2B/SS He only played 7 times in the OF. 0 starts, missed by 3 games. He shouldn't be SS (only played 7 games there in minors), that chart is still for 2014. He's still a rookie so it's just Yahoo Fantasy sports decision. I think he'll open as 2B and OF in Yahoo. Fantrax, CBS and ESPN all have him at OF only.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 My ProBoard notifications seem to have been wiped. From what I can tell, this just happened out of the blue for no particular reason. I suspect this may be a league wide thing so I thought I'd give a heads up.

My notification preferences are still correct.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Waino is on the block. Interesting trades considered... (points if you get the reference).
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Waino is on the block. Interesting trades considered... (points if you get the reference). Is this like Kramers interesting trades????
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Is this like Kramers interesting trades???? He's all yours for screen legend Anthony Quinn's sweaty undershirt.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 LATE NIGHT BLOCKBUSTER - RISK SWAP SPECIAL To The True Cards - Adam Wainwright To LOB - Ryan Braun
BTS Community Moderator Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 f*** Ryan Braun. Would not own again. He could easily be a 140 wRC+ guy if they figure the thumb out though.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 They both have elite upside and some scary red flags. I can understand wanting off the Braun ride.
BTS Community Moderator Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 They both have elite upside and some scary red flags. I can understand wanting off the Braun ride. It was especially frustrating given that he was the centerpiece of my offense going into the season, and everyone around him s*** the bed. I needed his production, and he was in and out of the lineup all year with oblique strains and that dead thumb.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 And I couldn't stand the thought of Waino getting a 2nd TJS at age 33 right as Jose Fernandez comes back and dominates. I sincerely hope they're both great next year, though.

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Don't really like it for BTS tbh. I think Braun is a much better asset. But what do I know.
BTS Community Moderator Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 I'm in the market for a mediocre bat that I can use as a Country Breakfast contingency plan. I don't care what position. Available: Tim Hudson, Clay Buchholz, picks, prospects.

I think Braun is the FAR superior asset. *edit* I thought about this a bit more, and retract my 'FAR'... just superior will do
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 In terms of actual fantasy earnings, Waino has been the far superior guy the last two seasons. Obviously I prefer Braun, but I do think it's an even trade from a risk/reward perspective.
BTS Community Moderator Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 f***, average age of my 20 keepers is 30.2. Getting long in the tooth.
BTS Community Moderator Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Might still take Braun, but only because of his home park. No longer a SB guy and probably no longer a .500+ SLG guy. If he plays, I'd rather have him than Waino. I've just seen nothing to convince me that the nerve issue is going away.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Might still take Braun, but only because of his home park. No longer a SB guy and probably no longer a .500+ SLG guy. He slugged .453 with a gimped thumb, so although I wouldn't put money on it, I think the odds are good he'll at least be back in the .480-.490 range if the thumb is truly healed, as he claims. Apparently he's been swinging a bat pain free since November, not that health reports are forthcoming this time of year.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 I'll Burp for kicks, good fekkin deal fellas!
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 f***, average age of my 20 keepers is 30.2. Getting long in the tooth. That's old. Mine is 26.5.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 I like the Braun side of this deal. His upside is higher. And he'll have this whole offseason for his thumb to heal.
