They evaporate when your farm is full? You have to trade them before your final pick, which didn't happen earlier, but whatever.

When the pick comes up if the team’s farm is full, the pick is void and we move on.

 

If someone wants to promote a prospect or make a trade during the draft to free up a surplus pick they need to do it before they are on the clock. No trade window for that. And voided picks due to full rosters aren’t just skipped like missed window picks - they Dylan Cease to exist
