Did we ever close the loophole (that surely nobody would be enough of a ******** to exploit) that didn't expressly state you can't bench your team after losing in the playoffs to whore yourself to a slightly better draft pick?

 

IMO this is already covered by rule 2.3.

 

If it is obvious to me that someone is tanking at any point in the season, they are subject to aggressive unilateral punishment with no rights of appeal.

 

The general requirement is to field a full pitching and hitting lineup. Stuffing the bench with NA and DL players has always been acquiesced to. The odd NA or DL player slipping into the starting lineup is sometimes also seen as okay, typically in the short-term, and depending on the specific circumstances (sometimes MLB players fail and get demoted unexpectedly; sometimes a rebuilding owner happens to get hit with like eight DL players at once).

It was pretty stupid that final draft spots were decided by playoff finish, and so I decided to demonstrate that. Why would someone care about finishing 4th or 5th if they could make their team outlook marginally better by finishing 8th? Do you remember all the people who finished 3rd? I don't.

 

I've already explained this numerous times and have yet to understand why you're so perpetually butthurt about it. I benched my team so it would be obvious, you don't think I could've been a bit more sneaky about it if I really wanted to get away with it?
