Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 Still want him back? Sure. I'll give you Hall of Famer Albert Pujols.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 Yeah, but that's Hurl's boner, not NJH. Yeah I said mid-last year that I had given up on Conforto really only NJH and TCA made offers. We are always tougher on our own guys. Adames is a prospect that I was high on then I talked to Jono and was huge on him, I had a plan to approach NJH for him when he included him. Then I asked for too much. When they came back with the 3 way deal, I said yes way too fast (I had turned down Adames and a pick for Conforto to NJH like two weeks earlier). Like every prospect I own, Adames has been terrible so far this year.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 If anybody wants to blow me away for Andrew Miller, I'll listen.
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 If anybody wants to blow me away for Andrew Miller, I'll listen. Wow, Contreras has a 64 wC+ and projects as a league average bat. I still think you came out ahead there.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 Wow, Contreras has a 64 wC+ and projects as a league average bat. I still think you came out ahead there. I'd probably still reverse that trade, given the opportunity. It would take a prospect of similar caliber to pry Miller away from me. Luckily for all of you, silvergun no longer has such prospects.
Laika Community Moderator Posted May 9, 2017 Author Posted May 9, 2017 If anybody wants to blow me for literally any player, I'll listen
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 If anybody wants to blow me for literally any player, I'll listen Do we personally have to do the blowing, or can we outsource the job?
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 Personally If I can use a vacuum cleaner I'd have interest in Machado.

Luckily for all of you, silvergun no longer has such prospects. I call ******** on this one. z3r0s should call your bluff for my own self interest. Catchers are s***** assets in general. There is no way you'd trade one of the best relievers in the game for a struggling young catcher.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 I call ******** on this one. z3r0s should call your bluff for my own self interest. Well, I would have done it a few weeks ago, and I don't think a bad month should really change my mind about that. Z3r0s has no interest in undoing that deal.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 Eh, maybe you're right boxy. I'm perusing the farms and I probably wouldn't trade Miller for any prospect outside the consensus Top 15.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 fwiw, I still believe in Wilson. I'm happy enough with the trade for now (talk to me at the end of the year )
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 If anyone can give me 1 reason for me to still believe in Travis that would be great....
Laika Community Moderator Posted May 9, 2017 Author Posted May 9, 2017 Catchers are so f***ing gross and random.
Laika Community Moderator Posted May 9, 2017 Author Posted May 9, 2017 If anyone can give me 1 reason for me to still believe in Travis that would be great.... He has no trade value but he still has a bit of upside. That upside is pretty limited at this point--slightly above avg 2B.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 Catchers are so f***ing gross and random. Buster Posey is the only catcher worth trusting, and even his ISO is getting awfully Joe Mauer-y. There's only one catcher inside our Top 200 at the moment (it's not Posey).
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 fwiw, I still believe in Wilson. I'm happy enough with the trade for now (talk to me at the end of the year ) You can't even spell his name right, how much can you possibly believe in him?

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 I've bookmarked this post and put a note in my calendar Something something, Aledmys Diaz.
Laika Community Moderator Posted May 9, 2017 Author Posted May 9, 2017 Something something, Aledmys Diaz. What's wrong with Diaz? His numbers are fine.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 Something something, Aledmys Diaz. Correa just broke 100 wRC+. Yonder Alonso is Ted Williams. Ryan Zimmerman is more Bryce Harper than Bryce Harper. I'll worry in June.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 I've bookmarked this post and put a note in my calendar What part of that post is dubious to you?
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 To change the subject, should a commish step in and start managing TRM's team until he's back from wherever he went?
Laika Community Moderator Posted May 9, 2017 Author Posted May 9, 2017 To change the subject, should a commish step in and start managing TRM's team until he's back from wherever he went? Nah. I don't want to create a precedent of setting lineups and stuff for owners during periods of neglect. If he doesn't come back around at some point this season then we might have to replace him though...
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 What part of that post is dubious to you? I thought it was just because you wrote "maybe you're right Boxy"
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 He's in Toronto...but heading out of town soon. I'll see what's up.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 What part of that post is dubious to you? You said I was right
