Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Someone who trades for McCann would still have a void at C...King, is that you? SG would not appreciate you using his account. He's saying his lineup doesn't have a void, because he already has a much better fantasy catcher than McCann. Whoosh.
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 He's saying his lineup doesn't have a void, because he already has a much better fantasy catcher than McCann. Whoosh. And Boxy was saying that whoever acquires McCann will have a void in their lineup, not that SG has a void in his lineup.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 And Boxy was saying that whoever acquires McCann will have a void in their lineup, not that SG has a void in his lineup. I'm sure it was my poor writing and not just this basic bitch's terrible reading comprehension. E: not you silvergums =)
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 If it's a void you guys are looking for you could always trade for Matt Wieters
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 McCann can fill that void in your heart. Martin does a good job with that. But thanks... I appreciate your concern
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 If it's a void you guys are looking for you could always trade for Matt Wieters Why are you still rostering him? Cameron Rupp is actually good.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Why are you still rostering him? Cameron Rupp is actually good. I doubt it. Kinda seems like he's at his ISO and BABIP ceiling, probably more of a league average hitter going forward. Shades of '15 Vogt.

The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Why are you still rostering him? Cameron Rupp is actually good. Stubbornness? I don't know what I'm hoping for.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 League average hitter at catcher is good, isn't it? You tell me; you're the one who's been rostering Wieters for a couple seasons now.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 You tell me; you're the one who's been rostering Wieters for a couple seasons now. It's probably soon time to let him go.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 It's probably soon time to let him go. The only difference between him and Rupp is some BABIP dice rolls. May as well keep both.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 The only difference between him and Rupp is some BABIP dice rolls. May as well keep both. Or drop both! There's gotta be better on the waiver wire.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 or trade for d'Arnaud. at least he has some upside.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 or trade for d'Arnaud. at least he has some upside. Include him in our deal we're talking about.
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 The only difference between him and Rupp is some BABIP dice rolls. May as well keep both. Rupp has an ISO 20 points higher than Wieters' career high, and statcast loves him. I think he's a viable low-end starter while Wieters belongs in the free agent pool.
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 I hate to say it, but McCann probably starts 110 games for Atlanta next year and finishes a top-15 catcher.

I think he's a viable low-end starter while Wieters belongs in the free agent pool. Catchers don't sustain .340 BABIPs. He's showing more power than anyone ever expected, but I see him coming back down to earth and being around .250/.310/.420 next year. What you're seeing right now is as good as he'll ever be.

He is absolutely, 100% going back to Atlanta. Moving to a pitcher's park and never DHing ought to help his fantasy numbers tho, rit?

Key factors being - absolutely no pressure and normal routine as a basic starting catcher.
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Do we know Atlanta's new park is a pitcher's park?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Do we know Atlanta's new park is a pitcher's park? Good point, I forgot they were moving.
Laika Community Moderator Posted August 26, 2016 Author Posted August 26, 2016 Do we know Atlanta's new park is a pitcher's park? I think the fences are slightly closer but the walls will be varying heights so, have to wait and see.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 I never thought I could love Jedd Gyorko this much.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 NJH you can probably change that signature now.
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 That feel when you temporarily enjoy the schadenfreude of potential consecutive losses by silvergun, then remember that he's 58.5 games ahead of you in the standings.

Not going to lie, Min really took a lot of the enjoyment out of this win for me.
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Likely keeping me out of the 200 platinum exclusive club is still decent, you haven't exactly let off the gas. Dick. Has the season had the same number of weeks every year?

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Kinda glad I got off the Sano train, that guy is frustrating.
