I think it's a launch angle thing mixed with the league adjusting to his run in the playoffs. He hits the ball very hard but his groundball rate is very high. If/when he adjusts we should see the power numbers rise significantly.

 

This is anecdotal from the eye test, but he does seems to hit a lot of groundballs the other way to beat the shift from the games I've seen which I imagine is part of what's hurting his xwOBA since for most hitters that would be an easy groundball to the second baseman. Obviously if he's being shifted it's for a reason though, so that should regress.

It is time I clean up my team. I have Yuli, Rizzo and Colin Moran at 1B and Turner and Machado at 3B. I'd like to move 2.

 

Needs are youth, SP, OF and SS. I'm not out of this year yet but if you have an impact player out for the season I'll consider starting a true rebuild.

 

Farm is not a priority but I have spots open if you think you can enhance a deal.

1. Fantrax over PM on here (I don't even sign on here every week anymore). but I get it if you have to use this. Most in the league text me which works well.

2. I'm moving impact players so I get it if you don't want to come in with an offer right away. But don't start with "take a look at my team, tell me if you like anything". I don't look at my team. I most certainly am not looking at yours

3. It is seldom a quick process. If I accept right away you probably made a stupid first offer, I will take my time usually.

The only rule is that players with at least 1000 PA or 50 GS for pitchers have to be promoted at the time of our draft. There's no 14 day rule like LOD
