I’m with Dinger on this. If you lose a position to injury and don’t already have a backup rostered you’re gonna get stuck running trash out there.

Highest owned percentage hitter right now on the FA list is Hernandez. Owner of a .528 OPS. I had the privilege of owner him for a few days when Bryant was down, would not recommend.

Your premise implies that the highest owned (by percentage) player is the best available player, when this simply isn't the case.

There's a number of quality FA bats:

Asdrubal Cabrera

Mitch Moreland

Albert Pujols

Brandon Crawford

Christian Arroyo

A lot of these guys available for free in this league, would fetch 3rd round draft picks in LOD

Seeking a bat. A big upgrade at 1B or 2B would be ideal.

I would mainly dangle a good SP. Open to talking about anybody but I feel like Taillon, Kim, Alcantara, and Wheeler are the ones with strong value who I would be most inclined to trade.

Could also trade prospect(s) and Christian Walker, Belt, or Dylan Moore in any deal. Moore has gone 19 HR, 29 SB in 531 career PA so there is a ton of upside there.

nvm on the 1B side. Brandon Belt lives.

being a Brandon Belt owner is very hard.

Was down to 3 guys on the IL on Monday, 2 days later back up to 8 on the IL. The volume of injuries this year is brutal

Yes, it's crazy. 8 on the IL here... 10 in LOD, 12 in BBDL and 10 in BORED. My head's spinning.

Did you see how he lost the perfect game?

Yeah. I've never liked the perfect game definition. That was a passed ball to me.

I'm considering it a PG

Can't believe I wasn't able to land Means in the LoD

Please tell us what you saw in him like 3 years ago.

In 2019 it was high spin FB plus a Marco Estrada changeup from the left side. Then in 2020 he got even more interesting because the velo ticked up and his breaking ball may have developed a bit.

Perfect game isn't just about the pitcher. It's the whole team.

It can be lost with an error, catcher's interference or passed ball - things that have nothing to do with the pitcher.

It's definitely not a perfect game.

This works better if you reply to the trade offers

Sorry, you cannot perform that action right now.

The trade cannot be executed because it will cause at least one team to have an illegal roster.

Greenwood:

Period 36 (May 6, 2021):

The maximum number of 26 total player(s) will be exceeded.

All the injuries are why the FA lists suck so much in all the leagues (well, LOD's would anyway).

The DDL FA pool is at an all-time low. Usually when someone goes down I can find a few guys on the wire that I find at least a bit intriguing. When Votto went down yesterday I couldn't believe the dearth of talent. It was an absolute wasteland.

It's a good thing we have unlimited ILs now, because a lot of teams would be rostering 3-4 red flags on their active rosters if we still had 5-man IL limits.

It's true man, the injuries are brutal this early into the season, I can't keep up. In the FC they use 27 man rosters with 6 IL... I have 2 IL rostered.

What was his pitcher score for the game? I bet it's way up on the all time listing.

His pitching score was elite... 99

I like the Sandy Alcantara side on that deal. Never really was a fan of Merrifield. Maybe it’s because he’s a royal, maybe I just don’t understand him. I keep waiting and thinking this is the year his value takes a dive.

I wouldn't do the trade in a nutshell because of the age gap but I have a SP surplus and 2B black hole. My rotation is still pretty good/deep since McClanahan and Lynch got such quick promotions. I could/would probably move another SP still for a big OF or 1B upgrade.

Merrifield has always seemed flimsy from a SABR perspective but in fantasy with our settings he has been elite. One of the most elite 2B in our league for the past few years.

I am loving having AG back in our leagues. The most direct trade partner I have really ever had in DDL or LoD. No f***ing around with picks and bulk deals to try to scrape out some 2% edge; he either is not interested at all or he is really interested and puts forth his best offer.

Wholeheartedly agree.

The league is huge, but there's only a handful of REALLY active owners.

Even fewer that are straight shooters when it comes to trade talks.

Very positive interactions in both LOD and DDL with Greenwood.

Starting to think Cedric Mullins might actually be decent after scrapping switch hitting. I wonder how many other players would be better if they just hit from their strong side.

Probably 50% of them
