Looking at the team currently on the clock, they have 26 roster and 14 farm. With a guy to come off the DL, but also a red flag they can put on the DL.

Right. Havok is full. I skipped his pick and deleted the rest of his picks, assuming he is done + inattentive.

Done:

Spanky

Zeros

Goldbull

Havok (extra picks deleted)

Are we allowed to acquire a pick if the owner is done with their draft? (eg their pick has been removed from draft room)

Thanks... I'm full, done for the draft.

These picks available for a '22 pick... 4-12 (72), 4-20 (80), 6-10 (110), 6-12 (112)

Yes, not sure about picks being removed.

Yes, the extra picks don't disappear right away. I just deleted Havok's because it was evident that he was not on top of his team so I can't imagine he gives a s*** about trying to trade a 5th rounder for future considerations.

Honestly, the draft room kind of f***ing sucks. Some major flaws:

- The fact that it locks adds/drops during the draft. Commishes are left on the hook for cleaning up illegal rosters, when in the past owners would just do their own maintenance, because they were prevented from making adds if their roster was illegal.

- The function for skipping expired picks is wonky.

- Picks that are skipped can't be made, and commishes have to process them manually instead of owners just adding their guy when they log in.

- Rosters have to be expanded by one because the draft room doesn't let you add players directly to the farm.

Time to go back to Yahoo!

Yeah I'm not sold anymore. It is having the main desired effect of moving the draft along but the cumulative effect of the things you noted means it is more hands-on for the commissioners than I had hoped. The nice things about the spreadsheet system are that it's a) completely adaptable and B) the draft can basically be community policed and everybody collectively helps run it.

I guess that's on the table too. We will look into it before 2022. I don't care about the money, I would just pay it and people could reimburse me in Dogecoin if they want. There might be some non-draft related premium options we have been avoiding that we could then use.

Benefits > drawbacks IMO.

Most of the issues are our own inexperience.

Of course, as long as we have Spanky to do the auto communications, spreadsheet would work too.

Anyway, L54 is up. Not sure if he got an email from the system based on the recent history here.

Ya I was having difficulty getting the draft room to load.

Made my pick

FanTRAX is still being wonky. You can get on one minute but not the next.

If your pick comes up and you can't get on, just try again in a few minutes.

These guys are all available for a 2022 pick

How come Speedy drafted an MLB guy? Was that to basically skip the rest of his picks going forward?

lol good question

I'm not going to reverse the pick or drop the player. He'll just end up having to drop an MLB player after the draft. I actually don't see any harm in letting people burn a NPD pick to pick up an MLB free agent. I may tweak our rules in the future to clarify this.

In the past you could not pick players with MLB experience in the minors draft because those players were fodder for the waiver draft AND we didn't want that to be a loop hole for demoting players that should not be demoted per our old rules. Now unowned players with MLB experience are just free agents year-round, and you can freely demote guys...

He still has open MiLB spots though so his future picks could be used.

That's weird. I had autodraft turned on, and apparently the system turned it off again. Probably from the website issues earlier. Make sure you check your draft room settings guys!

I didn't say he earned it, I'm just asking for it.

We should be able to add positions to players if they can play there. No reason Javier Baez shouldn't have 2B.

Completely agree.

I await my invitation to the DDL Committee for deciding if a player "has enough arm" to play 3B.

This would make more sense than when yahoo gave Rizzo 2b eligibility.

I owned him in a redraft that year. That was a good year haha

If we stick with the Draft Room next year we will reduce windows significantly. There's really no excuse for not just pre-ranking players. 12 hour windows suck.
