Laika Community Moderator Posted March 1, 2021 Author Posted March 1, 2021 Just need clarification. Will dropping a guy during the draft create an extra spot in the draft room? It looks like add/drops are frozen on Fantrax during the draft.
BTS Community Moderator Posted March 1, 2021 Posted March 1, 2021 Just need clarification. Will dropping a guy during the draft create an extra spot in the draft room? Fantrax won’t even let you drop anyone during the draft.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted March 1, 2021 Posted March 1, 2021 I've got a few guys on IR that may come off mid-draft. Will that prevent me doing anything? I guess we'll see!

We will commissioner fix any roster pickle that come about by chance and was not the fault of the owner. Force a drop for you, or whatever.

Not sure you'd be able to transfer them to the farm after drafting though.

Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted March 1, 2021 Posted March 1, 2021 50% of my draft board is already gone
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted March 1, 2021 Posted March 1, 2021 Will trades and pick swaps during the draft be acknowledged by draft room or commission needs to make manual adjustments?
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted March 1, 2021 Posted March 1, 2021 Will trades and pick swaps during the draft be acknowledged by draft room or commission needs to make manual adjustments? I think they should be acknowledged by the draft room.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted March 1, 2021 Posted March 1, 2021 Send me a pitching prospect for James Paxton. I will likely accept the best prospect I receive.
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 1, 2021 Author Posted March 1, 2021 Yeah this is going to be much more efficient than a traditional spreadsheet/email draft.
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 1, 2021 Author Posted March 1, 2021 So the Draft Room does plop the player onto your MLB roster. Everyone should immediately demote their dude after making the pick, assuming you want them in the minors. If they don't have a green flag and you want them demoted a commissioner can do it.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted March 1, 2021 Posted March 1, 2021 My board is pretty small, so if anyone doesn't know who to take and wants to trade down, let me know.
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 1, 2021 Author Posted March 1, 2021 The top end of this draft is actually fine. Most of these guys are at least fringe top 100 types or possible 2022 top 100 prospects.
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 1, 2021 Author Posted March 1, 2021 Also, this Draft Room is great.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted March 1, 2021 Posted March 1, 2021 no more Spanky having to keep us all in check by emailing next haha.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted March 1, 2021 Posted March 1, 2021 What did we decide for dates on our next draft? I think we are waiting until after the signing deadline, is that correct?
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted March 1, 2021 Posted March 1, 2021 What did we decide for dates on our next draft? I think we are waiting until after the signing deadline, is that correct? I believe it is every year at the start of March. The next wouldn't occur until March 1st 2022.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted March 1, 2021 Posted March 1, 2021 sounds good. I'm not complaining about drafting Ginn a year early and Rocker two years early, but it's probably something that should be avoided going forward.
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 1, 2021 Author Posted March 1, 2021 What did we decide for dates on our next draft? I think we are waiting until after the signing deadline, is that correct? Probably March 2022. The NPD will always be in the spring. I like doing it after prospect list season but before there is a significant amount of spring training data so the first day of March feel like the sweet spot. So yeah, drafting someone who doesn't sign is a non-issue now.

Laika Community Moderator Posted March 2, 2021 Author Posted March 2, 2021 34+ picks in the first 15 hours is pretty good
