I suppose we will be dealing with a shortened fantasy season. Not a big deal. Once we know how long the league will be in hiatus for, we can figure out what, if anything, needs to be adjusted in the league. Hopefully there is some sort of baseball season this year.

Nick is being a huge baby. If it makes you guys feel better, he's still involved with Radio Scouts, so once sports start happening he'll probably be back, or at least he'll be writing articles. Pandemic is making everyone grumpy, I think.

Let's set our draft start date for Saturday June 20th. I've decided we will keep our normal roster settings so everyone will have to cut their MiLB rosters down pre-draft and fix any IR issues so they are allowed to add their players. This will be the last pure MiLB draft; starting in spring 2021 we are transitioning to a "New Player Draft" which will replace both of our current Waiver and MiLB drafts. For this draft there will be no players deemed ineligible in order to supplement the 2021 draft, despite prior conversations about possibly doing that. Reminder of our draft rules:

 

--> Each owner will be allowed a 12 hour window in which to make their selection. After the 12 hour window, that owner may make their selection as soon as they arrive, but the draft will carry on in their absence and subsequent owners may make their selections.

--> If an owner misses a draft window entirely then all of their subsequent windows for the current draft will be halved. This penalty clock halving can occur twice during a draft. Windows cannot shrink below 3 hours in length.

--> Only unowned players with no MLB service time and who belong to an MLB parent team are eligible to be drafted. Players who have been drafted by an MLB parent team are eligible to be drafted, even if they have not signed with the parent club (our annual draft may occur before the signing period has concluded). Drafted prospects that go unsigned and/or return to college may be kept at the owner’s discretion.

--> At no time during the season may a team’s MiLB roster exceed 12 players. Prior to the annual MiLB draft an owner must cut/clear space on their MiLB roster for each draft pick they intend to use. For example, if an owner has 3 draft picks but only 2 open spots on their MiLB roster, they will only be able to draft 2 players and the third pick will be discarded (unless traded). All MiLB cuts must be made prior to the annual MiLB draft at the prescribed deadline.

--> Trades of MiLB assets can happen during the draft, but no owner can cut an MiLB player during the draft so these trades in most cases must exchange an equal # of MiLB assets (example: you trade for a prospect you covet so you have to throw the other owner your worst pick to avoid going over the 12 MiLB asset limit).

I've got picks 21/32/39/61/81 and 101 for future picks or a combination of guys from the farm and team for better asset upgrades, if interested drum something up... faack we should be having this draft after the signing deadline, there really isn't a hurry at all, Mr. Dictator.
