Hmm is there a way to remove max adds before the season starts? I can't add anyone right now because it says I have 0 claims left

Changed the maximum weekly adds to 10 for now. Will drop it back down in a couple weeks.

Julian Merryweather is not a legal add under our new rules. We changed it so players who had tickled AAA were eligible during the waiver draft but during the season they have to go through a debut waivers process if they don't have MLB experience, which would apply to him.

ALTHOUGH I'm not sure I love that rule construction all that much. I think I may tweak the rules slightly.

It feels like players that hit AAA in prior seasons should just be fair game. This player group will not include many real prospects anyway and it will slightly decrease the administrative process of debut waivers.

Debut waivers should probably only apply to players that did not hit AAA in any prior season. So, the players more likely to be real prospects who, say, crush AAA in their first season there and get promoted or zoom from A ball to the majors.

Does anyone have any thoughts?

So the timeline as to when 'last season' occurs is after the annual NPD?

I thought the whole idea of debut waivers was to give owners that are busy at work, or have family commitments such that they can't really monitor the baseball rumour mill, twitter, etc, a fair chance.

We will see the owners that are watching baseball events closely, grabbing AAA guys that are about to debut before other owners know what is going on.

It doesn't matter too much to me as I'm fairly vigilant but think others may consider it unfair.

Yes, as soon as the annual NPD ends would be the line in the sand between seasons for this purpose.

That is one reason to have debut waivers. The second reason is to prevent teams from populating their MiLB roster with actual prospects, for free, now that we have unregulated demotions/promotions.

Maybe we will just leave it as it is.

He's like 29, and will probably start with the club. I apologize, though, I didn't realize a rule change had taken place.

Curious how you guys would rank these 3 in a 5x5 OBP/R/HR/RBI/SB redraft league:

Trout

Yelich

Acuna

Probably that order, but I think you could make a case for any combination.

I've also proposed this in BORED.

Free agents to be eligible to be added to our DL or Minors whichever is the option on Fantrax? I think it's the minors.

Prior to Fantrax on Yahoo we had access to the NA slot for these type of players. Example, Puig currently. Kimbrel and Keuchel last year.

It's similar to letting suspended players being DL eligible. So could(should) be enacted without a vote being needed.

I took a quick look and I can't find the toggle. Not sure this is an option in Fantrax, for some reason?

Sounds like they should be able to be moved there by default?

What determines which players are eligible to be moved to the Minors slot?

There are several criteria that your league's Commissioner can configure to determine when a player is eligible to be moved to the Minors slot in the Team Roster screen. This criteria, which can be found in the Rosters section in the League Rules Summary screen, includes:

1) Whether or not the player is in the (real-life) minor leagues, inactive or a free agent. A green flag will appear next to a player's name if he belongs to any of the above 3 statuses.

2) The player's age.

3) The player's total number of career games played.

In LoD players with blue flags (free agents) can be added to the farm. I don't remember ever seeing a setting for that, so I thought it was the default. If you try moving Puig down in BORED it won't let you?

That's how it came up, went to move him to the minors. I was pretty sure could do it in LOD. Maybe there are other restrictions currently checked off in BORED?

Just found it. It's under League Setup -> Rosters -> Minor league eligibility options.

Changing it to allow FAs is only possible in a paid league.

Well that's kinda stupid.

It's not ideal.

We could just put in a rule that you can ask a commish to move them to the minors. I mean, it should only be an issue at the start of the season rather than a continuous headache.

That makes sense.

TCA, in BORED I'm fine with Spanky using his commish powers to move Puig to your farm.

Maybe a one day a year type of thing. Is what I'd propose.

Just before opening day, if you have any players that have not signed yet you can request to have them moved to the minors by a commish if you have an empty space there. This would cut out the ability to stock pile free agents throughout the offseason and just keep requesting them to be moved to the farm; but would also allow you to keep your late signing free agent without hurting your roster when the actual season starts.

If it was allowed all year long I'm picturing people moving numerous players that just hit FA to the minors so they can pick up more guys. Since we're a true dynasty now and are allowing offseason pickups/drops.

I suppose we will be dealing with a shortened fantasy season. Not a big deal. Once we know how long the league will be in hiatus for, we can figure out what, if anything, needs to be adjusted in the league. Hopefully there is some sort of baseball season this year.

BUT it will f*** up the nice schedule someone spent days solving in the LOD
