I've been saying to Boxy that his mass NA strategy was playoff suicide from day 1. I've also offered him multiple reasonable deals for some of those NA guys and he has stubbornly (stupidly) refused all of them.

 

Last I checked Isaac Paredes had like a .690 OPS and wasn't even playing shortstop anymore. Must hold prospect for sure.

 

Nate Lowe's OPS is like 60th in the International League. Man the waiver draft was a flop this year. Kikuchi sucks, Paredes and Lowe suck. The only gem was Merrill Kelly, who was dropped (stupidly) by BTS too soon.

I think NJH meant the top of the Waiver draft. But Giolito and Oddorizzi aren't bad from the SP side. Greene as an RP (I'm sure there are others). Yandy as a hitter. I think I still have all 5 of my waiver picks which is 5 more than I usually have.

That was the initial reaction. Plus Kimbrel is coming so Cishek will either be a holds guy (or dropped). It was more that I'm getting Alvarado and Morrow back, so I have to learn not to panic about a two week run of poor holds. The offers were honestly pretty good. But they all hurt my ratios in comparison to Colome and Luke. With my 20 to 30 IP's a week, I felt it could make a difference.
