There's definitely nothing wrong with 6-hour windows, imo.

I've been pounding this drum for a long time. At the last half of the draft, there is also less to lose if you miss your window. People would be more likely to send a list of picks to other managers when they are not around.

 

I think it would greatly improve the way we draft in board leagues. I get that 1 hour is pretty quick, but something like 3 hours would work pretty well imo.

Okay I think starting with the draft this summer we will do something like:

 

Rounds 1 and 2 = 6 hour windows with a clock freeze from 1 am to 7 am

Rest of the draft = 3 hour windows with the same clock freeze

 

No penalties for missing a pick will be necessary.

 

I'm not sure there is any need to go all the way to 1 hour windows. Might as well just run a live draft through some online method or chat at that point.

Yeah there is a way to put every FA on waivers. Just set the league system to rolling waivers, then change it back to open FA after the one cycle.

Yes. There was an option to ignore those games, but that's not really fair to anyone with players in them. I blame MLB more than Yahoo.
