P2F Old-Timey Member Posted November 12, 2018 Posted November 12, 2018 To P2F: Carlos Correa To Org: Fernando Tatis Jr. Jose Martinez Jimmy Nelson Brandon Marsh Confirmed.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted November 12, 2018 Posted November 12, 2018 I'm looking to upgrade at third base, J.T. Realmuto still available.
Laika Community Moderator Posted November 13, 2018 Author Posted November 13, 2018 To P2F: Carlos Correa To Org: Fernando Tatis Jr. Jose Martinez Jimmy Nelson Brandon Marsh I was too premature with the pikachu meme!!!
Laika Community Moderator Posted November 13, 2018 Author Posted November 13, 2018 Not that I do think he'll bust, but if any of the current elite prospects is going to disappoint a la Moncada I would bet on Tatis being that guy.
Laika Community Moderator Posted November 13, 2018 Author Posted November 13, 2018 I feel like Org is very down on Correa to pull the trigger on that, which makes it surprising that he turned down my Machado for Correa + offer a couple of months ago
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 Correa suxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 I already told P2F but I feel like this trade really hinges on Jimmington Nelson
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 Correa suxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 152 wRC+, .315/.391/.550 in 2017 as a 23-year-old. He doesn't suck.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 Love this trade for P2F. Best case scenario, Tatis is Correa. Seems unlikely. The rest of the pieces are meh.

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 Love this trade for P2F. Best case scenario, Tatis is Correa. Seems unlikely. The rest of the pieces are meh. Did you completely miss Jimmy Nelson putting up a 5 WAR season in 2017?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 Did you completely miss Jimmy Nelson putting up a 5 WAR season in 2017? Did you completely miss the part where he sucked before that for years and then his shoulder blew up?
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 6.2 WAR as a 23 year old. Felix Hernandez doesn't suck. LMAO WTF? I don't get the point you're trying to make here. One is a pitcher, the other is a hitter. And even after 2009, Felix Hernandez was still pretty darn good till 2015. This has to be the stupidest post of the year!
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 Did you completely miss Jimmy Nelson putting up a 5 WAR season in 2017? Oh my.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 Love this trade for P2F. Best case scenario, Tatis is Correa. Seems unlikely. The rest of the pieces are meh. Martinez will be 31 next year and his bat at 1B isn't anything special. Nelson missed all of 2018, will be 30 next year and before his breakout 2017, he was a No. 4-5 starter.

I agree with this, he's the riskiest of the non-pitcher elite prospects but his ceiling is incredible which is why I felt comfortable with him as a centerpiece.

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 Boy, you guys are morons. No wonder I was teabagging 18/20 teams for most of last season.
BTS Community Moderator Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 Boy, you guys are morons. No wonder I was teabagging 18/20 teams for most of last season. I can't wait to finish ahead of you next year and take your money.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 Why didn't you throw up Correa's numbers from last year? He was injured and wasn't 100%. I'll give him a mulligan on last season. Only 24-years-old.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 Why didn't you throw up Correa's numbers from last year? What happens if Vladdy Jr comes up and rakes in his first two seasons and then has a down year due to injuries and not being 100%. Will he suck according to you?
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 He was injured and wasn't 100%. I'll give him a mulligan on last season. Only 24-years-old. So you'll throw out Correa's s***** season due to injury and use his 2017 for future forecasts (career best) but you'll toss Jimmy Nelson's 2017 out the window because reasons. Ok
