Where did you pick it up? I see Waiver 1 (SVG) (which would be 20) going to Hurl in early August, but nothing else

Expediency is nice, but truth be told, we have a lot of time to kill before the season starts anyway.

But it's just meaningless - history demonstrates that outside the top 5 picks all of these waiver slots have no value or predictive value.

 

If we just finished it sooner and had the season free and open, there could be free agent / trade / waivers activity right now.

I agree with this. One round -> open waivers sounds like a great idea.

I am going in with a plan of filling position needs only. Don't care how bad my draft is...I've never had a hit in this even though I've had high spots. Every player I've taken has ended up dropped or occasionally traded.
