z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted March 5, 2018 Posted March 5, 2018 Pick 20 on the spreadsheet says it belongs to Hurl, but should be mine as far as I can tell. Where did you pick it up? I see Waiver 1 (SVG) (which would be 20) going to Hurl in early August, but nothing else
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted March 5, 2018 Posted March 5, 2018 Sorry boys I've been away all day working on stuff. I'll make my selection as soon as I get home.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted March 5, 2018 Posted March 5, 2018 f***ing bullcrap some of the guys that Yahoo didn't add to the database.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted March 5, 2018 Posted March 5, 2018 I'll be dumn and go with Danny Jansen.

BTS Community Moderator Posted March 5, 2018 Posted March 5, 2018 Anyone actually hit on more than 1 of these last year? I took Hand, then botched the rest with Hedges, M. Duffy, Mauer, and Clippard.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted March 5, 2018 Posted March 5, 2018 Anyone actually hit on more than 1 of these last year? I'd say I hit pretty big on Kennys Vargas and Pablo Sandoval.
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 5, 2018 Author Posted March 5, 2018 I say next year we nuke the waiver draft. Maybe just do 40 picks then open up waivers Or even just one round? Or could even do 30 picks hmmm

Laika Community Moderator Posted March 5, 2018 Author Posted March 5, 2018 But it's just meaningless - history demonstrates that outside the top 5 picks all of these waiver slots have no value or predictive value. If we just finished it sooner and had the season free and open, there could be free agent / trade / waivers activity right now. Just a thought
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted March 5, 2018 Posted March 5, 2018 Last year I got Joe Kelly, then Rhys Hoskins, then Alex Meyer (who I dropped, but he showed promise last year).

You never know, you might just find a Willson Contreras.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted March 5, 2018 Posted March 5, 2018 Rhys Hoskins I'm furious. Thanks for ruining my week.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted March 5, 2018 Posted March 5, 2018 I'll take Chris Iannetta. Damn this player pool is garbage. I'll PM next
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted March 5, 2018 Posted March 5, 2018 I'll take Chris Iannetta. Damn this player pool is garbage. I'll PM next I totally missed how well Iannetta hit last year. This looks like a good pick.

z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted March 5, 2018 Posted March 5, 2018 I disagree with the proposed change. I like the waiver draft. We could reduce it, but lets not go wild. Maybe 3 rounds?

TheHurl Site Manager Posted March 5, 2018 Posted March 5, 2018 I am going in with a plan of filling position needs only. Don't care how bad my draft is...I've never had a hit in this even though I've had high spots. Every player I've taken has ended up dropped or occasionally traded.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted March 5, 2018 Posted March 5, 2018 When did the DDL thread of all of a sudden become the Politics thread? haha
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted March 5, 2018 Posted March 5, 2018 Sam Nunberg is not a smart man. Look who's talking. You just posted political discourse in the DDL thread.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted March 5, 2018 Posted March 5, 2018 We Started this? You're also up in bored
