I know I know, too many pitchers.

You should trade me one for Juan Soto before he breaks out and becomes untouchable. And yeah, way too low on Luis.

so Gib.... BTS, what are you going to do with all those picks? I know you aren't officially GP until they dissolve into nothing, but that farm is pretty full of guys who won't be graduating next year

No idea. Might buy up some potential cuts closer to the deadline, but it's only trash being made available now.

I'm open to it as long as it's not for Honeywell, Buehler and probably Gohara whom I love.

gtfo. I don't even want Gohara, he's sloppy-fat.

The man you dubbed Dominican Bryce Harper?

I surely never said that. I'm only lukewarm on Soto. Not even sure I want to roster him, really.

I'm willing to make a regrettably short-sighted need trade where I move him for a good pitching prospect. Shame you just don't have any in the range that interests me for him.

You should want Gohara, his stuff is amazing and he projects like an SP3 in what will be his first full season. C.C. Sabathia anyone? No way I'm trading any of those guys for a Mejican with 60 professional games though.

For some reason I actually don't like any of Atlanta's pitching prospects. Trade me Buehler, dick.

It's probably because they had a supposedly strong group a couple of years ago with guys like Arodys Vizcaino and they all flamed out/became relievers, plus Teheran suxxx. But man, being a Braves pitcher in the 90s was the place to be.

Did I offer Kopech?

It would've re-shaped the trade, but yes. I decided that I didn't want to roster Kopech on the big club for a year+ because I had no room on my farm. I chose Adams + Pivetta instead because Adams was closer to the majors lol.

Does that jog your memory?

I know he was good in the AFL...but what else did Justus Sheffield do to justify a 50 spot jump? The velocity was down before the AFL where he was clocked at 96. I feel like he's one of those BA guys and they aren't going to let go until he fails in the majors (I have several of them but Max Fried is another from this year that sticks out to me)

We're doing this?

1 Ronald Acuna

16 J.P. Crawford

22 Brendan Rodgers

31 Scott Kingery

35 Franklin Perez

37 Alex Verdugo

41 Justus Sheffield

44 Austin Meadows

49 Jesus Sanchez

61 Brandon Woodruff

64 Jorge Mateo

66 Adrian Morejon

90 Tyler Mahle

93 Nick Gordon

I also thought Kaprielian, Yadier Alvarez, and De Leon each stood a chance to make it, but alas, they did not.

Wow, yeah. It’s funny how quickly values shift. Kopech vs. those two seems like such an easy choice right now. I still like Adams and Pivetta but the former’s K rate drop is annoying and Pivetta seems like a possible 5.00 ERA K/BB specialist

Also, that Kopech's control improved by leaps and bounds in the second half really compounds my mistake. 5.5 BB% from July 14th until the end of the season. wut.

Well, you should have never even sniffed Kopech because I should have demanded him in the Correa trade.

Wow, de Leon's stock has really fallen.

The upside remains, but I'm out. Too many red flags.

Welp, I'm spent:

"If Acuna stays in center and maxes out his power, he's going to be among the best players in baseball, with a Mike Trout-ish profile. Even if Acuna hits "only" about 20 homers a year, it'll come with 40-50 doubles, huge contact rates and solid OBPs. The presence of Inciarte and Cristian Pache may push Acuna to a corner for Atlanta, but he could play center field for many clubs, and it's reasonable to think he'll be a plus defender in right field anyway. There's still a little variance in how the bat projects, but there's a higher probability of Acuna being an above-average regular for a long time than any other player in the minors."

I love Keith Law now

Christian Pache pushing Acuna out of CF is a big LOL, but I can understand if they'll wait as long as Inciarte is there.

Didn't Wayne Cavadi call Pache the best defensive CF in the minors and probably top 10 in baseball.
