I was on Vlad a year before KATOH so you can all eat my shorts.

Yeah but that was the homer factor.

Sadly, I ignored Vlad Jr. simply because he was a Jays prospect and I had no faith in AA or our farm at all at the time. I do believe that Bo is the first time I've owned a Blue Jays prospect in any dynasty league.

Anyway, I just felt vindicated that you BP enthusiasts who think KATOH is not that useful can eat s***.

I think you're creating a fictitious opponent again. Nobody is a diehard BP enthusiast, we all reference multiple resources. BP has allowed me to hit on multiple studs, including Francisco Mejia, WELL before they were mainstream Top 50 prospects. I don't exactly see you rolling in the KATOH profits just yet.

Were Benintendi and Bregman before they changed Katoh to include Cape Cod and International games?

That's the story of Ryan Helsley!

O.K. I guess for a minute there I must have known who he was and had interest in him. I'm getting too old for this.

Tyler Lyons & Jorge Polanco available, beat the crowd!

In the words of BTS

You should be embarrassed about mentioning every one of these guys as players that someone might give you an asset for.

Jorge Polanco was a beast in the 2nd half. The type of player I'd comfortably keep as my 20th but not necessarily trade for, even though I have a SS competition with one s***** candidate right now.

Yo BTS, BP just posted their 2018 Top 10 for Hotlanta and they threw an 8 on Acuna.

The Good: My predecessors were fond of saying that the scale only works if you use all of it. I won’t make you read further to tease it out. We are throwing an 8 on Ronald Acuña. How do you get there? Well, you have above-average or better tools across the board, including a 55 glove in center. Gary Sheffield came up in a discussion of the offensive profile to try to describe Acuña’s combination of bat speed and barrel control. He has potential 70 game power and an advanced, all-fields approach that doesn’t require him to sell out to tap into his mammoth pop. He has enough arm for right if you happen to have a 7 center fielder lying around your roster. This is how you smoke the upper minors as a 19-year-old. This is how you get an OFP 80.

The Bad: Well, nitpicking is part of the job too. Gary Sheffield isn’t really allowed as a comp for good reason, and controlled violence is still violence. Acuña may show enough swing-and-miss to make the hit tool only play to average, and we are betting here on a 19-year-old not being forced to a corner as he fills out. And to put it politely, that isn’t the butt of a center fielder.

The Role:

OFP 80–Elite center fielder

Likely 70–All-star center fielder

The Risks: Low. Look at the role grades again. I guessssssssss the hit tool might play down enough that he’s just a good outfield regular

And, I'm spent

For a second I thought you mean't they had him ranked 8th...

It's kind of amazing how bad Atlanta's rebuild was. Three years in a row with less than 73 wins, and their top-10 prospect list consists of three bats signed via international free agency, and 7 pitchers. They've been terrible for three years in order to collect Ender Inciarte and a bunch of semi-interesting pitching prospects.

Was? It's far from over. They're going to be terrible for at least 3 more years.

If they do turn it around before then, it will be largely on the back of Freeman, Albies and Acuna, none of whom are even a product of their rebuild. They`ve done such a terrible job collecting talent over the last three years.

That's what you get when you put an old school moron like John Hart in charge of your front office. His analysis on MLB network was embarrassing, I was shocked when he got hired to be GM/Prez.

Not sure, afaik their projection was just based on their college stats.

everybody?

I'd trade any one of Madison Bumgarner, Carlos Carrasco, Rick Porcello, Jerad Eickhoff, Julio Teheran, Jeff Samardzija.

Big range. Depends what kind of deal I like.

1B - Bird

SS - Bregman

CF - Zimmer

OF - Puig

OF - Benintendi

Util - Olson

SP - Berrios/Hendricks/Anderson/Odorizzi/Matz/Hoffman

RP - Devenski/Holland

Boxy, you should cut the fat from your roster, acquire an ace, 3B, and 2B, and go for it this year. There's no reason for that team to toil close to 20th place unless you spend another season rostering the Valencias/Reeds/Diaz's/Pearces of the world. That's a good team!

Aside from one of Ramos/Zunino, I'm looking to move Kole Calhoun for either a prospect or similarly valuable SP.
