Yahoo ranks are based on format since last year, they're not totally useless anymore. They probably don't account for ratios perfectly as relievers seem overvalued, but they're interesting nonetheless.

Neither has a snowball's chance in hell at ever being a top 10 2B.

 

Any middle infielder coming off a 145 wRC+ age-23 season in AA/AAA has at least some chance of being a pretty good player.

Would take a bit of a haul, but he can be had. Don't let that deter you from making a pitch, I'm just letting you know in advance that it would cost you your real pieces.

 

If I get a good enough offer, I'll deal him.

I disagree. One year of Donaldson vs 6+ years of Devers is a slam dunk considering the state of our team and Donaldson's age-related decline and injuries. I suspect the Red Sox would not even consider that trade.

We are looking at maybe another 5-7 WAR from Donaldson, for about $28-30M. Unless you really think the Jays are a viable contender in 2018, you should consider trading that asset for a Top 5 bat prospect at the same position.
