Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 Just go with the 450 PA's for action punani's! NJH is a sally. He'll get 450 PAs either way cuz the Brewers are s***.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 I have a 26 year old CF available with a 14.8% BB rate (~Top 10 in baseball), 23 SB & 9 HR in less than half a season. He ranked Top 10 in baseball in average exit velo. We're looking at a potential 20/40 guy with strong OBP skills and youth, and he plays in a fantastic hitters park. He's basically 2015 Charlie Blackmon, but apparently no one wants him. - projected for a 79 wRC+ - with those numbers, put up a 36% k rate - probably won't get a whole lot of PT don't be a dummy

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 I don't even want to hear the word projection between now and February. They change so often it's a f***ing joke. Projections are also a terrible way to try to spot exit velo spiking late bloomers. Ryon Healy is another. Mark my words, he's going to hit .280 with 30 HR this year.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 - Projections this time of year are for retards - He works deep counts, I'll take the K rate with that BB rate - Yes he will you stupid dummy, the Brewers are atrocious He works deep counts because he can't hit the goddamn ball. RETARD!!!
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 He works deep counts because he can't hit the goddamn ball. RETARD!!! Ya that makes no sense.

BTS Community Moderator Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 Did we just see the first ever 'pitches per plate appearance' argument in a DDL sales pitch? Also, Broxton is going to go the way of Trayce Thompson.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 Ya that makes no sense. How does that make no sense? Instead of swinging early and putting the ball in play, he instead fails to put the ball in play and swings through for strike one. Then strike two. Then strike three!
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 I mean if Broxton had a good K rate, we wouldn't be having this debate because he'd be an elite prospect coming off a breakout rookie season. I'll gamble on his tools any day, there's major fantasy upside on par with 2014/2015 Blackmon and 2012-2014 Gomez.

Laika Community Moderator Posted November 28, 2016 Author Posted November 28, 2016 Just to be clear, yes Dinger our $50 bet is on. 450 to play 93 wRC+. Also - an exciting Jose Reyes trade has happened.
BTS Community Moderator Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 But seriously, I'll flip you a 3rd rounder for Broxton Dinger.
Laika Community Moderator Posted November 28, 2016 Author Posted November 28, 2016 TRADE WOW LOOK AT THIS TRADE Jose Reyes + Yadier Molina for Cal Quantrill Spanky to confirm.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 Boxy, a team like yours should be stocking up on Broxton types. You can't have flawless players at every position. Taking a gamble on a young CF with .190 ISO and 40 SB upside is absolutely worthwhile.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 But seriously, I'll flip you a 3rd rounder for Broxton Dinger. Hard pass.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 I'll cut Tony Watson over Keon Broxton if I have to. You can have Danny V for a 3rd tho.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 I agree, I'd take Broxton. No f***ing way I'm paying your sticker price though. You don't even know what the price is! I'm just talking him up and establishing his brand.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 You don't even know what the price is! I'm just talking him up and establishing his brand. I know it's more than a third and that's more than I'm willing to pay.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 LOL what is with you and one-dimensional platoon corner outfielders. it helps develop the full potential of his Showalter hatred.
