Sorry pals, I really didn't mean to cause a commotion, as KK said I thought it was already accepted and just wanted a ruling on my own stupidity.

 

Since it seems like at least half the league wasn't aware of this rule and I was and just f***ed it up, shall we make that the rule going forward that it's on you? ...it seems to go with the spirit of no commish avail = too bad.

 

Plus I don't want Dinger having a crutch after I bounce his ass.

 

If I was considering this de novo the rule would definitely be prospect promotion = a weekly add (with the limited exception of if someone is at 5 adds already and they need to promote to facilitate a trade.)

 

With the rule already stated in the past I figured it only fair that it should apply to your situation. But if you are cool with new rule then new rule it is, for now and always. Prospect promotions are basic weekly adds. DINGER ADD THIS TO THE OFFICIAL RULES.

 

I recently switched to an iPhone and I finally realize that simpler = better.

Dodgeball is actually serious f***ing business. There is a lot of strategy at play and in the leagues I play in, many guys throw curves, cutters, etc. If you don't wear knee pads you will definitely regret it.

On a scale of 1 - terrible, how bad is it that the first thing I did when I read knee pads at the end of that was read the sentence again as if it was all sexual innuendo :P

So not to reopen a big can of worms, buuut...

 

To clarify yesterday's chat, we are now counting promos as requiring one of your weekly adds, so that can't happen in trade circumstances any more for free or...?

 

Just rereading the comments it seems some people felt it was good the way it was established, and I didn't mean to throw my weight behind a rule change, I just meant it's on you if you f*** up and add them yourself knowing the (previous?) rule, as I did, then you're s*** out of luck (which I support.)

 

In all honesty I did kind of have Snell prepped as a potential "secret weapon 6th add" earlier in the season, but blanked on my plan and promoted him ahead of schedule.

 

Ya, I'd like to know too. What's the hard rule on this going forward?

 

That was my plan with Musgrove as well.

11. Prospect promotions are basic weekly adds, which are to be processed by owners themselves using the Add Player function in Yahoo. Commissioners may use the Commissioner Tools to add a prospect to a roster only in order to a process a trade. Commissioners will not add a prospect to an owner's roster for the purpose of exceeding their weekly add limit. Boxy is a jerk and I'm right.

Anyways... Turning our attention away from mediocre food for a moment. I noticed that Yahoo listed DTDs this year for the first time. Hopefully this means more flexible DL settings in the future. In September, DTD can easily mean out for the season.
