how does it feel becoming the villain of the league? I mean... you deserve it after hoarding all that young talent that you will add to your roster next year... but how does it feel?

I feel less reviled than North was during his reign, so got that going for me!

 

I tipped the scales too far towards young talent, Snell and Kepler were foolish promotions in retrospect, and are basically dead weight at this point which will be a bitter pill if I'm forced to dump one (after Andriese ofc.)

 

Side note, it's kind of cool Wily Peralta remembered how to pitch, he's been damn legit since returning from the minors.

His ERA and FIP are both over 5 tho

 

His K/9 and BB/9 have been a lot better since the beginning of August. Over 7 starts in 43.2 innings, he has 38 K's and 12 BB's. Stream worthy for sure.

The Danny Valencia situation is so weird. Word out of Oakland yesterday was that they're going to release him any time now... then he starts last night and gets two hits. The guy is slashing .291/.347/.461 and they couldn't get anything for him at the deadline or in August.

 

He must be the hugest piece of s*** in baseball or something.

So I completely waffled on the fact you can have a commish add your prospects for you to preserve 1 of your FA adds at 1 am or whatever last night.

 

Is this a live with it scenario or can I get a freebie?

 

I'm fine either way, but it's probably not a bad idea to set a precedent regardless.

Anything that allows you to go beyond the standard # of adds in a playoff week is obviously not cool. I would have thought this would be obvious.

It's been done before in this league. So moving forward is this not allowable?

 

What about when a trade is completed and a team is calling up a prospect to make room on their prospect roster?

You own him on your minor league roster. In order to promote him, you need to add him. The only reason we ever bypass this with commish powers is while processing a trade that would otherwise cause roster problems.

That's the only time we've ever done it. AFAIK no commissioner has ever added a prospect to someone's roster during a playoff series, that would be very sketchy IMO.
