TRM Verified Member Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 I know who I'm getting at 3, which is a nice comfort (and nice of KK to extend that courtesy) but I really have no clue which way I will go at 5. Haven't even looked at new draftees tbh. This assumes you know who I'm taking at 1...... ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 This assumes you know who I'm taking at 1...... ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) yeah, someone I'm glad you're taking ya f***in dummy
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Eric Hosmer is a monster. Apparently he's no Victor whatever the f*** his name is
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Man, chasing Dinger's record really makes you appreciate how f***ing boss that 2014 squad of his was, 203 wins over 21 weeks is wild. #humblebrag

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 I guess I shouldn't have used Rubby to exemplify how s***** Wainwright is.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 I just wanted to clarify because the difference between 3 and 4 is pretty important. KingKat tends to get confused about these things though I'm pretty sure he knows I'm picking third. Better safe than sorry. Yes I know that in actuality it's the 4th buy it's still listed as the #3 in the team assets because of the whole 2B thing. I'm assuming that 82 is actually 83 too.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 I'm not going to be sad to see the end of that 2b pick
TRM Verified Member Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Literally no one cares I kind of care. I find tracking league history fun.
TRM Verified Member Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Eric Hosmer is a monster. so is The Condor.
Laika Community Moderator Posted May 31, 2016 Author Posted May 31, 2016 I guess I shouldn't have used Rubby to exemplify how s***** Wainwright is. when will you learn?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 so is The Condor. That's Chris Sale.

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 when will you learn? Apparently never
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 I'm not going to be sad to see the end of that 2b pick Same. I feel bad for the confusion.
GeorgiaPeach Verified Member Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 I confirm the trade with King Kat. So many questions surrounding this year's draftees near the top. And I like what I read about Buehler & Allard from multiple sources last year. And TJS or other small injuries don't really sway me. BTS I looked at your roster and I couldn't come up with something that would work.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Great deal for you either way. You'll surely get someone far better than anything you gave up @ 4. Better in terms of current value sure because Allard and Buehler are depressed assets right now but either or both could come back to haunt me. Gibbers is obviously taking the long view here as he usually does. Buehler alone could well be worth more than the pick but I don't particularly have the appetite to wait and find out. I hate my draft from last year. I had someone whispering in my ear and I didn't make picks that fit my usual m.o. They might still turn out to be good picks but I'm glad for the opportunity to get a kind of do-over. Three picks in the top 6 gives me an opportunity to rebuild my farm more to my liking.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 I was going to draft Allard before KK sniped me last year, so I don't hate this as much as others. If it was me I'd probably take KK's side tho.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 I kind of care. I find tracking league history fun. I care too, because it's my record. Probably teams who have never finished above .500 don't care, I think that's what Boxy was trying to say.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 pft, I care and that's my MO Oh, ok... so literally everybody but Boxy cares.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Ok I'm going to strongly object to using Hurl's face as our League Logo; it's bad enough I see it nightly in my sex dreams.

You have a pretty good chance to beat the record, you just need to average 10 wins per week here on out. I look forward to cockblocking your attempt in week 20, and I also enjoy that I've already ruined your chance at a perfect season.

z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 What was your winning percentage in 2014? .679
TRM Verified Member Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 .679 This year is crazy top heavy. Silvergun, FTD and I are all at or within 1 game of a 679 winning percentage right now.

More like the eternal view but whatever. You're going to have a choice of literally anyone in the current draft class, the chances you regret this trade are like 10%.

So assuming we all think Robles is the top pick (or at least Min does, which is what matters), you must think there are 2 more current minor leagues who are slam dunks to go ahead of Groome/Puk/Ray/Lewis. Who might they be?

Who might they be? I know who KK is taking and I know who I'm taking after that. None of the first three are from the current class. All i'll say but it isn't hard to figure out. + Pint belongs in that group
