jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 You know, Choo hasn't even been terrible this year. On pace to go at least 20/75/75 315/415, and projections think the rates will climb. Keeper worthy for sure. I've always been a huge Choo fan though his best days are behind him at 33. He can still be solid asset in fantasy like you said, though I wouldn't buy into him thinking he is going to recapture his glory days with Cleveland or his only season in Cincy. He doesn't have CF eligibility anymore and he doesn't seem like the 20 SB threat he once was back in his prime.

Laika Community Moderator Posted July 22, 2015 Author Posted July 22, 2015 Choo is a platoon COF. Dynasty value comp = Seth Smith. I think a decent team would trade him for a pick rather than keep him, in the DDL.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 Oh so Cody Anderson got shelled today, good stuff.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 It's convenient to do a pulse check on Choo's line the day after he hits for the cycle. This is probably the high water mark for his 2015 campaign.

Laika Community Moderator Posted July 23, 2015 Author Posted July 23, 2015 I love when RTTM happens right before our eyes. yeah like when Mike Montgomery finally gets violated
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 yeah like when Mike Montgomery finally gets violated Shut your whore mouth...
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 Boxy, how many shortstops would you trade Crawford for?
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 Oh idk, like a 5th to 4th waiver upgrade I guess. He's practically worthless. In all seriousness, I'm more inclined to trade Correa at this point just because I'm getting such weak offers for Big Brandon. I already tried to trade him, actually. To no avail =(

GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 You could make a very convincing argument that his dynasty value is behind only Tulo, Correa, and Russell. You honestly could. I don't know why Boxy's having so much trouble moving Crawford. He's fantastic and boxy isn't asking for an SS back.
Laika Community Moderator Posted July 23, 2015 Author Posted July 23, 2015 You could make a very convincing argument that his dynasty value is behind only Tulo, Correa, and Russell. I'd still probably take Boogers, Miller, Reyes, Peralta, Desmond over him too. Also Corey Seager, obviously. And JP Crawford too.

I wouldn't deal him straight up for Reyes, Miller, Desmond or Crawford I don't think. But there's the issue in a nutshell.

I understand why you would be hesitant to trade him for a couple of those names, I guess. But if you value him that highly then nobody will give you what you want for him. He just needs to do this for a bit longer to establish substantial value.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 God damn it Dinger, you are supposed to be the best! Tell your boys to kick my ass already! I want to lose!!

Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 gross Boxy I'm gonna need you to roll over when I face you to increase my shot at a playoff spot
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 gross My injuries are killing me, but it doesn't mean I'm going to play my non-best roster... and my boys are coming back... those fools
TheHurl Site Manager Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 Cody Anderson with the infinite K/BB today. What a monster! Tough to walk anyone when they hit every pitch they see. Just be glad he didn't make it to the forth for my injury prediction to come true.

TRM Verified Member Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 I've asked Boxy about Crawford multiple times.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 I've asked Boxy about Crawford multiple times. I've been pretty badly out of the loop. I didn't even realize he was on the market though if I was paying closer attention I would have realized that he obviously should be.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 He's not really being "shopped" anymore. I'm probably going to wait for the off season or trade Correa for an equivalent 3B or something.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 I'm probably going to wait for the off season or trade Correa for an equivalent 3B or something. Unless you're getting Kris Bryant, this seems like a really bad idea.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 Man... my OBPA is higher than my OBP
