Welp, I'm ready to call it quits on trying to put in a good showing this year (was never going to compete, but was going to try and avoid the basement for pride-sake).

I'm ready to sell all 'now' assets for futures. This includes draft picks, young players, injured players who will come back next year, or prospects (not a ton of room with everyone have a stacked farm, but I could make room for a good spect).

Assets that might interest a contender.

SP's - Alfredo Simon, Mike Pelfry, surprisingly RA Dickey lately.

RP's - K-Rod, Pedro Strop

Hitters - Joe Mauer, Ender Inciarte, Delino DeShields, Ike Davis, Jung Ho Kang (for something decent).

Let me know, I'm ready to deal.

Big Pelf is available? It's time to open the war chest.

been surprisingly good this year. And yes, some assets worth more than others.

It's funny how trades turn around sometimes. My Ryu for Grandal trade with TRM seemed like a rape job for the longest time, but now Grandal looks like a stud and Ryu has completely broken down, and the only asset I have left to show for him is Blake Swihart.

I'm not sure you understand what 'surprisingly good' means in this context. Its not like I'm billing him as an ace here. He performance has been way better this year than anyone reasonably expected, to the point he might actually be useful to a team who needs a depth starter. That is surprising.

I wanna know what's up with my team. I thought it was better then that. If this keeps up I'll be heading towards a lottery pick.

It probably doesn't help that Puig, Gomez, and Rendon have all been banged up for most of the year. Your team does look pretty strong on the (w)hole, although your bullpen is f***ing awful. No doubt they've had a big hand in nuking your ratios.

Sounds like he could use Strop and K-Rod.

Surprisingly good, to me, would mean that he's more than a waiver wire guy who gets streamed against really bad teams but he's not, so...

You give up a ton of production by leaving stats on the bench and starting guys who aren't playing. Regardless of how good your team is, in a league this intensive, you're going to be bottom half if you don't bother with your lineups.

Pelf has a 'Rank' of 276 this year. Basically no FA starter who isn't an owned prospect (one who is actually starting and not a RP with SP eligibility) is +300.

I'm not making any claims that he is a great pitcher, I'm not making any claims that the success is a good bet to continue, but you are being disingenuous in saying you could pluck the production he has provided off the waiver wire at any point.

I agree, I need to get better at that.

Is anyone interested in Brandon Crawford? I consider him a pretty good hitter so this isn't a buy low situation. He's a solid SS, curious what I could get for him.

Wow, with the way North has been pimping Pelfrey, I expected actual decent performance. Guy has a 4.48 xFIP and projections still have him as a 5 ERA guy. Goddammit North.

You think joke is in his programming?

PS. Did you catch Appel's 91 pitch 6K, 0BB complete game last night?

No but he needs moar strikeouts

I'll give the Pelfrey owner a 1 pick upgrade (not round...one MiLB pick position) if we never have to see his name again. I'll do the same for several other players.

I have an account again, but it's borrowed and I can't loan it out (sorry King, you know I would). Corpus Christi is my go to morning watch now. The fun to watch hitters are gone (Kemp, Aplin and Correa...Teoscar and Moran remain, but prove more and more that they are just a guy), but the pitching is fun with Appel, Musgrove, Hader (even Devenski has been interesting albeit old).

Are you a Hader fan?

Bill yes, Josh not sure. 100% guarantee he's a reliever as he's all fastball.

Yeah that's pretty much my expectation but I was advised to hold on to him. If nothing else he should be pretty close.

I own Hader in two leagues and I consider him very fringy. Probably not a dude.

I think you should triple down just in case.

TCA wanted my Wood badly and he finally took it like a man.

Wood for Krush Davis and Rafael Soriano.

It's been so long since I had a good Wood.
