Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Is this the precursor to you unceremoniously dumping him from your roster?
BTS Community Moderator Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Is this the precursor to you unceremoniously dumping him from your roster? No, I won't drop him. I still wouldn't be at all surprised to see a 110 wRC+ with 25 dingers next year.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Anybody believe in Gyorko enough to move something decent for him? I may have interest in him to stash on my DL, though wouldn't part with anything significant.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Is there more to the Moss trade?
BTS Community Moderator Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Is there more to the Moss trade? Has to be.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Geez, I thought Gyorko was better than he was last year, a .325 wOBA isn't really that sexy. Strip away the prospect pedigree and you have a pretty droppable player. He'll turn 26 soon and his career line is .223/.275/.393. God I hate Petco. And the Padres in general.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Is there more to the Moss trade? Ha, of course. Kingkat will also be receiving my 2015 1st rounder and Miguel Almonte.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Is there more to the Moss trade? What Moss trade? I can't see it anywhere.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Ha, of course. Kingkat will also be receiving my 2015 1st rounder and Miguel Almonte. Wowzers I would have easily beat that. Not sure why KK didn't shop him.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 I feel bad about the Gyorko situation. It looked like BTS had a long-term second baseman and now he may have nothing. BTS really has to hope the Padres trade him out of Petco, a real possibility now that Josh Byrnes has been canned.

Hard to see another team taking on that term given his current situation.

His 2014 season his been abysmal though. I'm content to go forward with Kendrick at this point.

A lot of these guys freak out that they can't hit home runs like they're used to and start trying to yank it.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Wowzers I would have easily beat that. All you had to do was offer YOUR first rounder!! zinnnnnnnnnnnnng
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Gyorko is probably a big part of him getting fired, considering that extension. Hard to see another team taking on that term given his current situation. That's true, they'll probably be forced to stick with him. The extent to which that entire team is not hitting is unfathomable. One of the worst hitting teams in history. Why do I picture you smiling while typing this? I'm not, trust me! I only wish ill on teams in my division.

One of the worst hitting teams in history. Yep. Everth Cabrera is doing his part to get me relegated from L1. Nothing I can even really do about it.

Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 It really makes you respect Adrian Gonzalez' tenure in San Diego.
BTS Community Moderator Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 It really makes you respect Adrian Gonzalez' tenure in San Diego. Off the top of my head, the only Padre hitter in recent memory to maintain consistent fantasy relevance.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Off the top of my head, the only Padre hitter in recent memory to maintain consistent fantasy relevance. Carlos Quentin was pretty good the last two years when he was on the field. They need to move in the fences again.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 My question is which of Ortiz/Craig/Moss/Ellsbury/Choo does dinger trade/bench?
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 My team apparently brought their A-Game this week!
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 My question is which of Ortiz/Craig/Moss/Ellsbury/Choo does dinger trade/bench? Choo, Pooholes and Craig all deserve to be benched at the moment.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Choo, Pooholes and Craig all deserve to be benched at the moment. Choo wouldn't like the bench. Maybe you should just trade him to me.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 My team apparently brought their A-Game this week! I'd laugh so hard if you won this week. Even if you didn't win another category the whole rest of the season, you'd have some material for the whole year.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Choo wouldn't like the bench. Maybe you should just trade him to me. Make me a wise offer. I would consider trading Choo, Craig, or Poohead.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 I'm actually kinda cheering for Boxy this week.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 I'm actually kinda cheering for Boxy this week. Out of last place in July...what odds did we have on that?
TheHurl Site Manager Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 What the f*** are the Brewers doing with Fiers? He's a 29 year old not some 22 year prospect. He's a great trade candidate for someone even if he probably only gives you two solid seasons before he is worthless.
