The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 NJH and Cats Ass, you're welcome. You finally managed to do something right.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 I'd move Rendon for something nice. Don't screw it up mate!
BTS Community Moderator Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 Any of you prospect junkies know anything about Robert Refsnyder? I picked him based completely on his numbers, and there really isn't anything on him on BP.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 I know he has an interesting last name and that he's Korean.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 Any of you prospect junkies know anything about Robert Refsnyder? I picked him based completely on his numbers, and there really isn't anything on him on BP. They mentioned Refsnyder in passing on a recent BA podcast. He's a real prospect evidently.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 Nice time to loose Wacha. Guy is money for K's. Should a fun next couple months. Wasn't wahca just skipped to keep him fresh? Though I wouldn't mind seeibg Martinez get some more starts
TheHurl Site Manager Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 NJH and Cats Ass, you're welcome. really it's a whole league thing
TheHurl Site Manager Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 Any of you prospect junkies know anything about Robert Refsnyder? I picked him based completely on his numbers, and there really isn't anything on him on BP. Much like Peter O'Brien, Refsnyder is man without a position. He played right field at Arizona, but the Yankees shifted him from outfield to second base in 2013, and he received mixed reviews for his work. Refsnyder has enough athleticism to become an average defender at the position in time, but he needs plenty of repetitions. He's a smart, above-average runner, but not a burner, who led Yankees full-season players in stolen bases (23). He's an extremely patient hitter, as evinced by his 84 walks against 82 strikeouts, who recognizes spin well and knows when and how to go with a pitch. Refsnyder sprays line drives all over the field and has the ability to keep the head of the bat in the zone for a long time. He doesn't get much lift, so he's not going to hit more than 10-12 home runs going forth. Refnsyder's modest power fits the second base profile better than the corner-outfield profile, so taking root at the keystone is crucial. He's headed for Double-A Trenton in 2014.
TRM Verified Member Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 NJH and Cats Ass, you're welcome. Sammy and Silvergun, you are also welcome. BTS, between this and the 10-0 smackdown in the Dunne Memorial, I basically own you.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 Here are the PRs, you pathetic also-rans.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 The overlord category has been created for teams which distinguish themselves with a xW% in excess of .650.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 How are the Slayers so high in the power rankings and standings. I just don't understand. But ya... Long reign the Slayers!
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 The simple answer is a powerhouse offence.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 Strangely, no one fell into the "Good" category this week (.550-.600).
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 Here are the PRs, you pathetic also-rans. After next week you will be pluralising that overlord category
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 I look forward to my matchup with him this week. Should be a good one.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 http://myliveactiondisneyproject.files.wordpress.com/2013/11/the-love-bug-peter.jpg You can't play boxy every week. The Reign at the top will be a short one son.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 f***off with reality, willya? Tryin' to BASK here. Not till i get to the top f***er. Although everyone was saying how weak our division was and now we have 3 guys in the top 6. I like that.
BTS Community Moderator Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 Not till i get to the top f***er. Although everyone was saying how weak our division was and now we have 3 guys in the top 6. I like that. MC rules. Love you guys!
BTS Community Moderator Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 So, objectively, is my offense really comfortably below average? Because I feel like it isn't, but it has been all year.
BTS Community Moderator Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 Tough to say, you've probably had the worst year as far as position player injuries combined with horrific underachieving. Not gonna lie, I'm pretty despaired right now.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 So, objectively, is my offense really comfortably below average? Because I feel like it isn't, but it has been all year. You have had some s*** luck.... Look at Butler, Headley, Ramos on the DL as well as Trumbo...... The only solid source of power you are getting is from Braun and unlikely Reynolds... I could see how you could be slightly below average. EDIT: Forgot to mention Belt.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 Yeah, Gyorko did a lot of damage to your z score that will take awhile to iron out. I'd say it's an above average offence when Belt and Trumbo are back, and if Butler and Gyorko hit like we expected them to.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 It would help if you had an offensive lynchpin like David Ortiz though.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 Holy crap, Brian Wilson is in my team? I need to stop making adds when drunk and stoned.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 Oh how you gonna go there. I'm a dick like that.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 Holy crap, Brian Wilson is in my team? I need to stop making adds when drunk and stoned. He wouldn't be soo bad if he stopped pitching drunk and stoned.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 Not gonna lie, I'm pretty despaired right now. Despaired enough to make a silly trade? I have some nice OFers and a spare 1B...
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 I also am worried about my divisional competition.
