I guess I'm just sick of picking up all the soon-to-be Top 100 prospects that you all missed and then trading them to you for all-stars.

Why do I need to have 12?

You don't. This is my first time with more than 10. Seems like it would have been pretty easy to pick up one of the wasted picks though. Why not try another lottery ticket?

Posted
I'm not willing to trade back 20 picks just to get a 5th rounder, I'd rather take the quality.

Only North was demanding those outrageous prices.

thanks for your opinions you single minded SOB's

Well you didn't really present a scenario where you would be able to do anything.

I have a tentative agreement with NJH. He can have my last pick if he wants for Manuel Margot. It all hinges on whether the guy he wants to draft is still available. I'm posting about it because I'm going to be on the road all day. This gives NJH the option of confirming the trade and picking right away when my turn comes up without any further intervention from me.

"Obviously this can work with hindsight on three of the four guys here, since we know what happened with everyone but Winker following their age 20 season, but I think we can argue that Jesse Winker, at least from a hitting only standpoint, can be argued to be the best hitting prospect among this group. His plate discipline is the best at this point in the game. His power is second to only Bruce. From a pure numbers standpoint, at this stage he is a better version of a 20-year-old Joey Votto. That isn’t to say he will turn into Joey Votto and be an MVP one day, but he is showing all of the right things in the minor leagues to be an elite level hitter. He draws walks at a very high rate. He makes contact at a very good rate for a power hitter. He hits for big time power. Offensively, there isn’t much else you can ask for a guy to do."

Too many people fapping to Joey Gallo and Kris Bryant.

You'll never be able to live this down if Winker busts.

Kats (probably me though)

Torontofan

then we are all done! That was a fast draft.

I am lead to believe that he will be Joey Votto with fewer strikeouts.

120 picks in less than a week. That really says a lot about this league.

I will indeed flip Manuel Margot to Kats, and select Victor Arano.

Sammy and Torontofan can pick whenever to round out the draft.

However, their picks need to be made fairly soon. Can't have days going by and new scouting reports coming out and stuff... let's say 48 hours or else the picks expire.

Sammy picked a guy to seemingly end the draft, but he only has 11 dudes. Did we accidentally dissolve one of his picks or something?

Looks like we accidentally crossed out pick 102 which Sammy should have been able to use. Luckily, this probably had no impact on the draft. Sammy can use the pick any time within the next 48 hours.

Thanks. Beauty pick on Imhof. Are Devers and Eloy even legal? They haven't played in a game yet.

Yep: "Only unowned players who have never played an MLB game and who belong to an MLB parent team are eligible to be drafted."

I don't know much about Imhof to be honest.

What do you think of my draft, GD?

Imhof is a scout's dream. And those are different rules than the BBDL.

I feel like there were better players available at your picks, but I can't fault you on any of your picks. Even if Reyes wasn't the BPA imo, he's a good first rounder that I'm shocked wasn't already owned, and he'd certainly be in the discussion for the BPA. I feel like Peraza was a bit of a reach, especially considering those taken behind him (Monte, Asuaje, Binford, so on). Mejia was fine but not the guy I would have went with. Tseng was an amazing pick. The guys drafted around him were all just as good but can't go wrong with Tseng. Mella and Rijo were good picks and Drury and Wilson were insane value that late. Diaz was nice value.

B+, maybe? I think some of your picks were debatable but you nailed a few. Still no idea what the f*** you were doing acquiring all those picks.

Also, wow. You guys got a ton of picks done very quickly. Very impressive all around. The DDL is some kind of dedicated.

Really weird to see guys that got drafted in our initial draft get looked over here. Thorpe, Herrera, Choi

I was happy to get Choi with the last pick in the draft. Not very sexy from a scouting standpoint, but the has been relatively young at every lvl and has hit.

Herrera I think was a victim of people assuming he was already taken. He was a discussion of debate regarding our AA rule and I just personally overlooked him thinking he was taken. I think some others might have made their lists while he was struggling with the bat (hitting .386 in June can turn around numbers fast). For me Choi is a powerless 1B in an org that just wants power. He also can't hit lefties...it's odd he just watches every pitch a lefty throws at him (at least in the games I've watched. So he'll sit around the PCL until he's 25. There was no way I was taking a pitcher with my first pick...Thorpe was gone by the time I picked again. Odd decision by the Twins to hold him back in extended spring training and then end up putting him on a full season squad. His progression will be interesting to watch.

Herrera projects as a utility guy, not very interesting from a fantasy perspective.

Also, North is going to take it up the pooper this week.
