Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 I figured as much. Guess I'll just wait on Sale/Anibal.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Commish-y people: How do I manually process a trade: Some moron's accept button isn't working in another league and I can't figure out how to get around it.

GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Commish tools > Remove stupid owner Working on that Dinger, I saw the edit rosters thing but I wasn't sure if they got placed on waivers if we dropped them. I could just change the waiver priorities but eh.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 There's probably a logical explanation for the owner not being able to accept, maybe he has an ineligible player on the DL. Make sure this isn't the case before you manually do the trade for him.

Make sure this isn't the case before you manually do the trade for him. It isn't. There's no roster error. His accept button just won't work. It's a page error. I've had it happen before. No idea how it got fixed but it took a while. The fix probably isn't worth it and I don't even know what I'd have to do, so I'd rather just do it manually. The owner is consenting. The players wouldn't go on waivers, would they?
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Wow for someone who was selling Garza at a steep price a couple of weeks ago, that's a huge drop. Kendrick is a much safer bet moving forward than Dee. I would have chose Kendrick. It's gonna be hard for Dee to keep stealing all those bases when he loses his starting job to that Cuban guy.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 You are obsessed with Cubans. They're just so big and strong. I just can't help myself.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Crafty vets like Arroyo, Vargas and Buehrle are kind of useful to have around. I've probably been underrating them them for years. I'm shopping Vargas if anyone is interested. Not looking for much, a DL stashee or project player should do the trick. I feel like his veteran presents are wasted on my team.

I feel like his veteran presents are wasted on my team. Vargas, Harang, Roberts, Venable, McGehee, Rajai, Benoit. Basically all my veterans especially those that are having good season are on the block but don't fit in my long term plans. If I can package more than one, that's even better.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 My DL rotation is better than the 90% of the rotations in this league. Fernandez Sale Anibal Medlen Now I know how BTS felt. Except in my case, two of them aren't coming back.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 I have activated a few players if anyone wants to clean up the sheet, Flores, Gibson, Hicks are all active and Jose Ramirez will be next (as soon as he gets 2B eligibility).

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 FYI, Clint Coulter was sent to Burrito Boyz to complete the Buerhle trade, which has been processed.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Buerhle is an old fart who doesn't K anyone, so it's hard to roster him thru the cutdown. But when the season starts and injuries hit, suddenly he's a moderately attractive depth provider of Winz, and hopefully an ERA/OBPA contributor. You can't replace Jose Fernandez, but between Garza and Buerhle, hopefully I'll have replaced his W/K contributions. The ratios will suffer regardless.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 f***ing Coutler. I threw him in a deal because I was going to cut him anyway and now he's on a tear
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Anyone want to take a shot stashing J. Montero? He's flashed some in the minors, but I can't afford to hold him and Straily as N/A players on my roster. Best offer takes him likely.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Gotta love his K/BB rates and power that he's displaying. Based on his numbers, you'd have to think he's on the cusp of a promotion. He'll make some Top 100 lists if he keeps this up. He could turn out a lot like Lucroy.

He'll make some Top 100 lists if he keeps this up. He could turn out a lot like Lucroy. I think you're getting a little too excited. Coulter wasn't even a top 10 Brewers prospect by BA or BP before the season, and they don't exactly have a great system. He's going to need to keep up this hot start for a lot longer to make Top 100 lists. Two days ago Jason Parks had this to say about him: "Production is never a bad thing, but I see a really strong mistake hitter right now, and I'm not sold the bat will carry. I also don't see a catcher long-term, but that can take time and he can improve enough to make it work."
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 I like Straily. I could deal Straily, but my preference is to move Montero. Feel free to shoot me an offer on Staily if you're interested tho.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 I'm looking for an up the middle bat (CF/2B/SS) Assets I can move: #8, Zimmer, Stephenson, replacement player going back

Laika Community Moderator Posted May 16, 2014 Author Posted May 16, 2014 Very bored with my team. Someone should try to take advantage of that.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 I wish I could make some deals but my roster is kinda locked in at the moment. If anyone's into Cheslor Cuthbert (123 wRC+ as the sixth-youngest player in Texas League, scouts love his swing), I'd trade him for a pick upgrade.
Laika Community Moderator Posted May 16, 2014 Author Posted May 16, 2014 You seem to want a SP and I want a bat. Maybe there's something there (again)? Yes. I'm ready to get trade raped again. Send me a wise bouquet of offer flowers in celebration of Salazar's demotion and the crooked fact that I gave up on Trevor Bauer preseason.
