Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Easy way to get expected win%: Divide total Z by 14 (number of cats) Apply NORMSDIST() Regress 50% to the mean (.500): 0.5*NORMSDIST(totZ/14) + 0.25 Thanks for this. I've got 2nd Leg @ .653 and Gryffindor @ .361.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Monte Cristo representing with three teams in the top-7. f*** you guys
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 How bout dat Dee Gordon? On pace for a measly 112 SB.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 It seems like there's a few people looking for pitching. Well I just so happen to have some extra arms, and I may be willing to part with one for the right price. Bidding war anyone?
TheHurl Site Manager Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Best pitching so far for the year...for a 2-12 record. f*** you all! You suck Farts!
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Best pitching so far for the year...for a 2-12 record. f*** you all! You suck Farts! Best pitching, worst offense... how un-Hurl like.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 (edited) Best pitching so far for the year...for a 2-12 record. f*** you all! You suck Farts! Don't sell yourself short. You're 4-10 in pitching. 1-13 in hitting. Pretty much the new Bye Week. Edited April 15, 2014 by The Cats Ass
TheHurl Site Manager Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Best pitching, worst offense... how un-Hurl like. sometimes you have to throw a curve out there...my DDL team couldn't hit it though.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 I need to clear a roster spot. With Kemp looking healthy and EY stealing bags left and right, Chris Carter is available. Reliable 25+ homer bat with a good OBP. My holds guys also up for grabs. Send me a Proboards PM if interested. Mostly looking for prospects/picks upgrades, since they're easiest to transact with.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 I hear he's gonna cruise past 30 homeruns. Doubront might!

NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 wat Relative to his average lol. He's quite usable in an OBP league, unlike in a BA league.
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 15, 2014 Author Posted April 15, 2014 Relative to his average lol. He's quite usable in an OBP league, unlike in a BA league. Because he can sandbag 2/7 stats instead of 1/5?
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Because he can sandbag 2/7 stats instead of 1/5? C'mon now! Carter is decent-to-good at R, HR, RBI, OBP, SLG. So he doesn't run or get hits... lots of productive players don't. I got a couple decent offers for him this offseason. I'm not asking for an overpay either, just trying to clear a roster spot.

His true talent OBP is probably well below the fantasy relevant mean for 1B/OF. He has utility still, obviously. I like him more than a couple of my bench pieces but I too am facing a wee little roster crunch.
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 15, 2014 Author Posted April 15, 2014 I'm pretty jealous of everyone facing roster crunches. I've set up shop in the scrap heap trying to field a viable roster. You want some of my s***? I'd be super inclined to trade bulk for 1 guy that I like.
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 15, 2014 Author Posted April 15, 2014 You have any useful starting pitching to spare? Define "useful"..

With my current pitching situation, the offer we discussed makes no sense for me now. I guess in hindsight it's a good thing we didn't reach a deal.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 I'm kinda surprised to see BS trade JBJ for Joe Kelly. He doesn't seem like a very NJH pitcher.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 What's the full trade? Just JBJ/Kelly straight up?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Joe Kelly is one of those guys that is easier to like if you actually watch him pitch. He doesn't strike out a ton of guys or have great control, but he's got a 95 MPH heater with sink (touches up to 98) which gets a lot of GBs and suppresses HRs, and he plays for a good team. He can even hit pretty well for a pitcher. IMO he's a solid W and ERA play in deep leagues and he's underrated by saber-savvy crowds who find his xFIP unpalatable. The guy has nearly 250 MLB IP of sub-3 ERA.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 http://i.imgur.com/1EGPBFq.jpg Asking for a mammoth return, along the lines of "some kind of pick upgrade," or, "a prospect who's hurt you one too many times." Junior Lake is a stud, why are you trading him?

The guy has nearly 250 MLB IP of sub-3 ERA. My thoughts exactly. Kelly has like, a 70 grade two seam fastball. It's his only weapon, but he's not some junk swingman. I think some portion of his ERA skill will be repeatable going forward within his current environment. Nobody wanted any part of my young MLB roster excess. I offered Bradley to several guys and was told that they thought he was waiver wire fodder. I wanted to deal Olt, Bradley, or Delgado for someone to help me this season, and Bradley was the only guy Boxy liked. JBJ doesn't have a great chance of making me regret this either, given his toolkit. Even if he sticks and puts of WARz, he might not be terribly fantasy relevant. If anyone has any interest at all in Randall The Handle Delgado, msg me. Obviously rebuilding teams are probably the only ones that might.
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 16, 2014 Author Posted April 16, 2014 Also, Wandy available. And LoMo for almost free
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 16, 2014 Author Posted April 16, 2014 You smell funny? Everyone smells funny when you make a habit of sucking farts.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 I've never actually sucked a fart before. But I'd think about it if it was some of these girls that asked me to. http://elitedaily.com/envision/girls/asses-world/
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 16, 2014 Author Posted April 16, 2014 You sucked farts in this league last year
