lol c'mon. I don't think my actions today were egregious. You should expect opposition any time you change a rule mid-stream. And I eventually relented since the rule changes make sense. I promise not to cause this kind of s*** again though.

I was being facetious, but we've received a highly qualified serious applicant.

I might have to sleep on it, North. Sorry to leave you flapping in the wind like this.

If we cut you loose, maybe you can just start your own 17 team NL West only roto points 23.5-man-keeper auction salary league with 50 man minor league rosters, or something like that.

You were literally the only one who opposed it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't North's idea be illegal anyway? I thought a player who was been promoted to an MLB roster is never allowed to be placed back on an MiLB roster.

The DDL is looking for a new owner. You'd be taking over a playoff team that currently owns Cutch, Mauer, Kipnis, Fielder, and Price, among others.

Shoot me a message with your credentials if interested. I'm serious.

I would thank this if I wasn't on my phone.

No, they can't be sent down directly, but they can be dropped and then drafted if they never play a game.

Oh right. Yeah lets create a rule to prevent that idea North proposed.

We should! That's why I posted it.

Have it like the waiver draft: players cannot gain eligibility after the draft has started.

You get a last-round MiLB pick and drop the prospect from your MLB roster when it's your turn to pick. Then you draft him in the MiLB draft. Last-round picks are going to go for so cheap this year that it makes sense to sacrifice one in favour of Rosell Herrera.

Wasn't there always a rule that once the draft start, a player that technically would become draft eligible during the draft was not eligible?

There was something in the waiver draft rules about that, but I don't think we ever had anything like that in writing regarding the rule 4.

I'm noticing several players in the FA pool who were drafted in the waiver draft. If you haven't already added the players you drafted, then A, youre a jerk, and B, you better do so before free agency opens at 5 pm, or someone is going to add your player and you will both look like *******s.

We should take this to the table and vote to see if he is kicked out of the club. We will then have to vote to then see if he gets to meet Mr. Mayhem. (End S.O.A quote lol).

I vote we keep N49, because I'm scared of what JFaS will do to us with that base roster.

What the f*** are you scared of! you could have 2 DL's and still likely beat the bottom 10 guys in the league lol.

You wouldn't wanna see what he could do with a farm like mine.

Your farm is so bad it's like the one in Field of Dreams except yours doesn't bring baseball players back to life.

It's not really clear to me what No49's shenanigans were exactly. This thread got pretty crazy in hurry and it was hard to keep up. This is what I was able to understand...

1) Discussion began about how to handle C.J. Edwards, Rosell Herrera and other prospects who are expected to reach AA before the June deadline and are part of the Yahoo! player pool.

2) NOof49 drafted Micah Johnson in the draft

3) Jaysblue said he owned Micah Johnson

4) It was then revealed that jaysblue had misspelled his prospect's name when he origninally drafted him and the mistake was never fixed.

5) Meanwhile consensus started to build Silvergun's proposal to lock down prospects who haven't reached AA until the June draft.

6) NJH proposed that Jaysblue and NoOf49 settle the Micah Johnson controversy themselves by just seeing who would be the the bigger man.

7) NoOf49 then started to make somewhat disingenuous arguments about draft strategy, whined a fair bit, proposed complicated rules changes and threw out hypothetical scenarios for gaming the system. This seemed mostly centered around the rule changes not the Micah situation which as far as I know still isn't settled.

8) Lots of people got annoyed with NOof49.

9) NJH told everyone dead seriously that NOof49's spot was open. Of course since it's NJH there was still plenty of doubt about his seriousness. He later said he wasn't serious but he still might give the spot to an extremely keen JFaS anyways and again no one really knows if he's being sincere given NJH's sense of humour.

So basically we have a very successful league with a good group of owners that's run into it's first real conflict. The conflict seems to be centered not so much on the actions of an owner because, as far as I can tell, the only person who really did anything wrong was Jaysblue by screwing up his pick and it was an innocent and obvious mistake. The problem is that the conflict seems to have revealed that NoOf49 can be a bit of a poor sportsman and a stick in the mud.

It doesn't bring them back to life stupid. They're still ghosts.

I'm pretty sure that NJH was just trolling North and it worked quite effectively. With that being said, it has always been a shame that JFaS has never been in this league, and North did demonstrate some very asshat like qualities the last 24 hours or so. He has also been asshatish before.

For what it's worth, I wouldn't boot North over this. I think it sets a precedent of booting someone for very little reason.

Plus, I like North. Whooping his ass after he ran his mouth about his teams dominance (specifically referencing my team numerous times) has been the most rewarding part of this league so far, so I am a tad biased.

I think you nailed it up until the last paragraph. I'm pretty sure NJH was just f***ing with North and that there's no real conflict to speak of.

Unfortunately for jaysblue, it seems he is stuck with org guy Michael Johnson.
