The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 As far as I can tell, there's only one unowned prospect worth taking in the first round of the Waiver Draft. I don't want to name names, although I'm sure he won't fall to me. Butler?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 You named names! Now YOU on our list!
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Don't want to be a dick but I was doing some pre cut evaluating last night and I noticed Aaron Hill has not been added to my roster and I still have the #1 pick in the MILB draft. Has that trade been processed?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 You are a dick. I don't know where you're looking, but it's been processed in the master spreadsheet.

The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Haha, Boxy went with my suggestion for a team name. Fits him well.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Butler was the obvious one; he's been brought up a few times on here as a top 5 waiver pick guy. There's another prospect out there who is fringe top 100.
Laika Community Moderator Posted January 31, 2014 Author Posted January 31, 2014 Anyone interested in Daniel Nava or Jon Villar?
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Im interested silver. Ill get back to you when Im off work.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 I would love to get Fisted, but I'm sure that goes for all of us. Hopefully you get a better package than Dumbrowski.

SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 So before I pump anymore assets into my pitching, I should probably point out that I would move a great deal for a 1B or OF upgrade: Syndergaard, Alcantara, Dozier, 1st round pick, Trumbo, Calhoun and any lesser picks/prospects are on the table for a clear upgrade not much older than 30. Depending on what you'd be willing to move, EE is possibly on the table

I would move pretty much any 1B or outfielder on my 20man roster for synder. If only any would do it lol
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 I processed those cuts for you. You'll need to clear 4 more before the deadline.
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Drop: Cozart, Marshall, Casilla, Weeks, Francisco, Venters, Guthrie, Span, Asche, Peacock, Boxberger, Crow, Torres.

Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 I can't wait til the google doc has an even 20 players for each team. Looking at the uneven columns all winter has been an OCD nightmare.

Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Keeping: Mike Zunino Eric Hosmer Ian Kinsler Alexei Ramirez Aramis Ramirez Mike Trout Hunter Pence Curtis Granderson Marlon Byrd Adam LaRoche Clayton Kershaw Matt Moore Jordan Zimmermann Justin Masterson Jered Weaver Ervin Santana Jeremy Hellickson Scott Feldman Mark Melancon Pedro Strop Cutting: Craig Gentry Dayan Viciedo Luis Avilan Luis Ayala Mark Reynolds (GTFO) Scott Downs
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 I might have done something different, but a nice 20 to keep. Thanks. The logic behind keeping Strop is because there's a solid chance he takes over the closing gig at some point this season. I anticipate Veras getting traded near the deadline. Closers will always have value in our league and I'll be surprised if I can't grab a 3rd round MiLB pick for him if he gets the gig.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Gentry's a pretty empty fantasy guy. He's a speed-oriented player but doesn't rack up a premium steals totals and won't play everyday. I probably would've kept Viciedo... but it wouldn't make much of a difference either way.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Looking to make a couple of moves. Just got back from my trip. Send me some offers or shoot me a PM.

Agreed on Gentry. As for Viciedo, he's going to be a platoon player this year. I also don't expect anything more than a bench contributing OBP killer with decent pop. The honest truth is that all 5 of those cuts are pretty fantasy irrelevant. Pedro Strop could also turn out fantasy irrelevant but at least there's the possibility for the closing gig later on. If not, I should be able to expect a decent share of holds.
