Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Well Baez was higher than Correa too, especially for fantasy. So we can 69 but you have to play with my butt too. Baez is Travis Snider at SS but fine, I agree to your terms.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 I thought you'd never ask!
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 The rankings are also based on real life talent and not from a fantasy perspective. If I was offered 13th Polanco for 49th Soler Id turn it down. Interesting. I think I actually like Polanco's offense slightly better from a fantasy perspective than Soler's, especially when you factor in that he should qualify in CF and is closer to the bigs. Can't really go wrong with either though.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 I like Polanco better both IRL and fantasy. Power/avg should be comparable but Polanco should provide more speed.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Polanco>Soler But it all depends if you want more power or more speed.

Can't really go wrong with either though. Its more me being really high on Soler than it is not liking Polanco. Everything ive read about him is that these old scouts are low on his "attitude and makeup questions" while loving the bat speed and power potential. I just traded Gray for Soler recently so take that for what it's worth. Everyone has guys they're higher on than others and it isnt simply me just being a homer on my own prospect.

I do feel Soler should be higher on the list. In the 20's is where he should have been. Might have been ranked so low due to his injury this year. He's my 2nd favourite prospect of yours after Bryant.
Laika Community Moderator Posted January 24, 2014 Author Posted January 24, 2014 Silvergun has Sano and Hamilton. Even if those were his only prospects, that would have to be a top five farm. Top 100 lists aren't always extremely relevant to fantasy either. Is Austin hedges even a top 150 fantasy prospect?
Laika Community Moderator Posted January 24, 2014 Author Posted January 24, 2014 My farm is probably the best though. #HDMH
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 My farm is probably the best though. #HDMH Your farm sucks. Bottom 5.

The upside is, catching is a weak position, Hedges will be staying at that position. Some scouts do think his bat will come around and that he'll hit for average.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 26. Maikel Franco 27. Tyler Glasnow 62. Mookie Betts 64. Julio Arias 68. Eduardo Rodriguez 77. Chris Owings 81. Justin Nicolino
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 So it looks like we will both be sucking each other's dicks. I hate you for making me read this disturbing sentence.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 This list is retardedly low on Gausman IMO.

The upside is, catching is a weak position, Hedges will be staying at that position. Some scouts do think his bat will come around and that he'll hit for average. It's true that he will likely stick, but it becomes irrelevant if you're only getting replacement level production from him each year. In that case, you would be better off not using a keeper spot, and going with the top waiver catcher available each year. However, we're in a 20 team league, so even a very mediocre line (something that wouldn't even be looked at in 12-14 team leagues) could still have value. It honestly all depends on what kind of catching is available in waivers. Ultimately I wouldn't slot him top 100, but I would keep him in the top 150.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Uh-hum... 26. Maikel Franco 27. Tyler Glasnow 62. Mookie Betts 64. Julio Arias 68. Eduardo Rodriguez 77. Chris Owings 81. Justin Nicolino
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Uh-hum... You trying to say something...?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Geez, Glasnow's been traded 3 times already.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Lester is a decent fantasy SP3/4 at this point. You essentially traded a super-old David Ortiz for him.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Geez, Glasnow's been traded 3 times already. I think he's tied with Kyle Crick as the most traded prospect. You've owned Glasnow, Crick, and Ryan Zimmerman, who I believe is the most traded Major Leaguer. This trade seems fair, although I like it more for BTS just because he's getting the established Major Leaguer.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 It should come as no surprise that two of the most traded players were owned by both of us.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 I was the original owner of Glasnow, drafted him in the June MiLB draft at 50th overall.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Yeah but then you traded two Top 30 prospects for Delino Deshields.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Yeah but then you traded two Top 30 prospects for Delino Deshields. Yeah but then he traded Delino DeShields, Rafael Montero and two not top-100 prospects for Justin Upton.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Yeah but then you traded two Top 30 prospects for Delino Deshields. I think I was drunk when I agreed to it. And was under the impression Desheilds was a 2B. Ending up with Justin Upton makes it alright to me. I'd be pissed at myself if I still had Delino.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 So Boxy could have had Justin Upton if he'd refrained from giving away Delino Deshields? (Who is a 4th OF at best, I might add)
