Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 9 Ks in 3 2/3... jesus. Why wasn't this guy a prospect before this tear?
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 Danny Salazar's pitch limit is dumn. I hope Chicago comes back and Cleveland loses.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 Do you? Because I own Santiago in PL.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 Nvm, that useless tit is done after 4 IP
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 I really can't believe how much they're coddling him. He's been starting all year, was only at 78 pitches, and had the lead. Let him try for the last 4 outs to get in line for the win. I can only imagine what the 50-60 year old pitching veterans would say if they saw that. Cleveland is in the midst of a wild card race where they are 1.5 games back, yet they pull him after 78 pitches? At least get 5 innings out of him with the way he was dominating.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 Do you? Because I own Santiago in PL. I totally forgot about that. I can't believe you made the comeback to make ERA/OBPA close agian. That was one impressive pitching line yesterday.
Laika Community Moderator Posted September 15, 2013 Author Posted September 15, 2013 Realmin crushes torontofan (as expected). Kats has an 8-4 lead on Darth Vader, but almost everything is close. Nail biter. Arroyo for Kats vs. Parker / Pedro Hernandez for Vader. Like, 10 categories could flip. Who has this tiebreaker? Dinger vs. FTD also a big nail biter. Who has this tiebreaker? I need some help against Chief Norman... throwing some s*** against the wall with Tyler Cloyd and Tom Koehler, hoping to flip K's and W's by brute force. I have the tiebreaker.

As near as I can tell we only faced each other once and I lost 4-9 (back in week 5).
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 I have the tiebreaker, I believe. It goes reg season record against opponent (which was a tie lol), then playoff seed. We've been back and forth all week, it's coming right down to the finish. Unlike PL where FTD is feeding me a pounding.
torontofan Verified Member Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 Realmin crushes torontofan (as expected). :-(
Laika Community Moderator Posted September 15, 2013 Author Posted September 15, 2013 :-( That was saying more about his team than yours. Tough draw for you.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 Congrats on taking me down in both leagues FTD, good luck next round.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 Unless Marco Scutaro decides to hit 2 HRs, it pretty much seems over. In the end, I just couldn't scrape by without Craig. And as it turns out, Ryan Zimmerman and Jon Lester would have won me the week in Jose Fernandez's place, but that's the way it goes.
Laika Community Moderator Posted September 15, 2013 Author Posted September 15, 2013 This is just silly - still 4-5 categories up in the air in my matchup. I just need to flip 1 cat. You have Ortiz tonight + 1 more PA from Andrus and Jennings, and I have Nava/Cano tonight + 2 or 3 more PA from Belt. I need some some clutch production from my #1 pick.
Laika Community Moderator Posted September 15, 2013 Author Posted September 15, 2013 Holy s*** Peralta just assploded. I guess I don't have holds as an out anymore. Jennings out + Zobrist homer here would be huge.
Laika Community Moderator Posted September 15, 2013 Author Posted September 15, 2013 That ball was smoked by Zobrist. Him and Jennings exchange outs though. Works for me. Tough call on whether or not to start Ortiz. You have the slim OBP lead, if you start him and he goes 0 fer, or 1 for 4 or whatever, that could be the end of the line for the True Cards.
Laika Community Moderator Posted September 15, 2013 Author Posted September 15, 2013 Belt could still force my hand in his last PA today. Yeah, if Belt gets on again then you'll have no choice. If Belt doesn't then it's a hard decision... would suck to start Papi and watch him not get on base while Cano and Nava go 2/8 with a walk and lead me to victory. Would also suck to not start Papi and watch him get on 3 or 4 times while my guys flip the category. Of course I have no choice but to start them since I can still flip HR and Hits and SLG with some big games from them.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 6 HR's and 19 RBI's tough to play Hunter Pence in any playoff matchup this week
Laika Community Moderator Posted September 15, 2013 Author Posted September 15, 2013 Watch NYY/BOS game or watch Breaking Bad? Tough decisions.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 so nice that you go to a movie with your Mom
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 Watch NYY/BOS game or watch Breaking Bad? Tough decisions. San Francisco vs Seattle!
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 Boardwalk then Breaking Bad.
torontofan Verified Member Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 Definitely Breaking Bad: Vince Gilligan: “I think these last three episodes, not to overstate it, and you could say this about the last eight, but with these last three in particular you need to install a seat belt on your sofa, you need to wear a crash helmet and a diaper. This next episode (entitled “Ozymandias”), I think for my money, is the best episode we ever had had or ever will have. I think people are going to have trouble breathing after this thing airs...it will knock your f***ing socks off."
Laika Community Moderator Posted September 15, 2013 Author Posted September 15, 2013 I always used to think Breaking Bad was slightly overrated, but this season has changed everything for me.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Will Kemp ever be fully healthy? Cano started with an out. I have no preference to who wins but I'd love to see BTS' strategy to bench Ortiz backfire.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Well looks like I'm done. I needed a decent day to advance, and that didn't happen. Jarrod Parker was a last-minute scratch, which prevented me from flipping Ks and K/BB, and with any hitting production I could have flipped H, HR, RBI, SB, and OBP. Our matchup is 2-10, yet one of my closest of the season lol. Congrats to Kats. Also, it looks like Kemp, Mauer and Cueto will all be fully healthy for next week. Thanks guys. Tough way to go down. If you get a full season of Kemp next year, your team will be killer. Heck, your team was killer this year without much production from him.
