It has to be a retool at this point. This team would decimate its fan base if they rebuilt at this point.

 

they have a lot of good players, but they also have some really bad ones that AA seems intent on keeping because.... you got me. Boni has been raved about by AA and I have no idea why.

 

retool now and move towards next year. trade Rasmus and Boni+ prospect for a real second baseman and a right handed bench bat. DFA blanco and DeRosa. bring up Gose, Sierra.

 

that's gets them a step in the right direction.

 

if they dont want to trade Rasmus, then they have to bring up Negrynch and sell Boni to whoever will give up a right handed bat for him.

there have been a lot of articles opined about the jays preseason regiment. the good teams have their players getting a LOT more ABs during ST and other teams pitchers are getting a lot more innings.

 

I think the Jays are still keeping too many s***** players in camp during the spring hoping to find fools gold. it's ok to have a couple guys you want to look at and evaluate some depth, but not at the cost of your regulars not being ready. even the last week the jays had some losers teams playing the away games.

They had some of the starters throwing in minor league games late in ST. To me, the team didn't look ready from the first series/homestand, it just didn't.

Melky has been such a disaster, you take a flyer, a minimum deal for a guy just busted who proved nothing without roids

At least the ortiz and rodriguez of the world did something post juice

i still hate lind, lazy and useless, since when is a 226avg and 693OPs from a first baseman even adequate

its not this team really could have used a real first baseman like ortiz or votto
