John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 While somewhat amusing in his media conferences for being a curmudgeon or ass, giving him a 3 year deal was bizarre. He has his rings and millions. His time has passed in todays game. The players hated him mostly and wanted to leave in droves. He's also the reason Treliving decided to leave.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 Leafs and Oilers are now the betting favorites to face each other in the finals NHL will never allow that to happen.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 NHL will never allow that to happen. heh, Rangers have to get past Jersey for any major market team to be left in the US. Cant imagine the NHL would be overly thrilled though if the Rangers get bounced and all that owuld be left for US teams are Vegas, Florida, Seattle, Dallas, New Jersey and Carolina. Not exactly a plethora of major markets. Bet the Rangers heavy tonight I guess if we belive the fix will be in.

The whole team had Kadri's back, game has passed Sutter by, likely a good riddance there. Treviling couldn't handle the guy, and walked away. That move was a no brainer.

The NHL won't want two Canadian teams in the Stanley Cup Finals. Pretty much eliminating the entire American market if that happens. Look at 1993 how the NHL didn't want a Toronto/Montreal final. There is your proof!
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 Trouba destroyed Meier That’s an understatement, Meier was murdered. Hit straight to the head too, Trouba gonna get nailed for it
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 Panthers in 6. Leaves fans are definitely in No position to troll Bruins fans. Lets face it if they advanced you would be shiting your pants right now. Even so taking the Panthers lightly would be quite foolish. There’s some very good players right now and they have multiple guys on career runs. Heh...
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 I wouldn't take the Panthers lightly. Leafs yes are a much better team, but the Panthers just came back from beating the best team in the NHL down 3 games to 1. My prediction: Leafs in 6.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 The Leafs have lost plenty of series to teams that weren't as good as them on paper...Carolina in 2002 (coached by Paul Maurice) comes to mind.

Yeah was going to say the same thing. I remember after they finally beat New Jersey in R2 that season, Carolina was going to be an easy team to beat in R3 and Leafs should go onto play Detroit in the Stanley Cup. If Panthers beat the Leafs, which is possible, I think it will be in 7 games.

They're a very good team when they're on.

Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 This is gonna be a tough as hell series. Let’s go Buds!
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2023 Posted May 3, 2023 Panthers are legit. Leaves players knew that. Now Leaves fan do as well.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2023 Posted May 3, 2023 Should be a good series. Won't be as easy as some Leafs fans thought. Florida will definitely put up a fight and we saw that tonight.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2023 Posted May 3, 2023 Pavelski's night ruined by the Kraken.
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2023 Posted May 5, 2023 Looks like Bobs gonna take this series.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2023 Posted May 5, 2023 Leafs still have a chance. They need to win the next two games in Florida.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2023 Posted May 5, 2023 Looks like Bobs gonna take this series. He's stood on his head thus far, we need traffic in front of him or we're f***ed.
