Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 This one getting a little uncomfortable... expected I guess, on a B2B. Nice... good job Leafs! Boston lost 6-3... awww yeah!
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 Booing a player because you disapprove of his jersey number choice? Penguins fans are f***ing dumb.

Penguins fans are f***ing dumb.I don't think anyone should be wearing 66 or 99, but maybe that's because I grew up watching those two play when I was a kid and the biggest hockey freak known to mankind. Then again, I am a Penguins fan.
canadiansportsjunkie Verified Member Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 #66 is the best my favourite player
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 It makes no sense that people care about 66 being worn, but 4 and 9 are freely worn without criticism. I also think 99 shouldn't be retired league wide.

I also think 99 shouldn't be retired league wide. Interesting argument regarding the #4 and #9 thing. But I think most of that has to do with the fate that there have been plenty of HOF players that have worn both numbers, wheras who has really worn #66 or #99 with any conviction? #4 - Bobby Orr, JEan Beliveau, Red Kelly, Scott Stevens. #9 - Gordie Howe, Maurice Richard, Bobby Hull.

Isn't that an even stronger argument to retire 4 and 9, if you're making anything off limits? Scott Stevens lmao

Scott Stevens lmao Well...he is a HOF player is my point. As for retiring numbers, the difference is that one player made 66 and 99 iconic. It's not synonymous with several players.
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 Always a good idea to ice your 5 worst players after you tie the game.
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 Hey Babcock, Stop f***ing icing the 4th line after a goal.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 Hey Babcock, Stop f***ing icing the 4th line after a goal. You're not a Babs fan, at all?
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 You're not a Babs fan, at all? No I just didn't like the usage of the 4th line last night. I didn't think it was a good idea to ice them immediately right after the Leafs tied the game on two different occasions.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 GO Leafs GO!!! Kapanen's playing... interesting.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 Matthews passes my idol for a new Leaf record in rookie goals, we all knew it was coming... To do it this day in age is special.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 They were talking about Matthews leading the league in opening goals a couple hrs ago on the 590 and that he hadnt score one recently

havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 Jesus Kasperi Kapanen can fly out there. The Leafs are loaded with elite young talent.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 The Leafs are budding with talent. (Just for Boxy)
JG34 Verified Member Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 The Leafs are budding with talent. (Just for Boxy) So that's why the call them that!
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 What did I just miss? Oh, that's ugly.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 What a s***** call... err... good call.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 Jesus Kasperi Kapanen can fly out there. The Leafs are loaded with elite young talent. Kapanen is a very good prospect, but I'd say you're throwing the word 'elite' around a bit too lightly.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 Go Leafs Go!! Isles getting wrecked... sweet! A Detroit, Dallas, and Florida win would work too.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 Sens losing, Buds winning Stays this way, Leafs are 2 pts behind Sens and 2nd place in division
