P2F Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 Crosby with a trick... and reaches the 40 goal plateau. Hey it's 4:20!!!Goals and points lead now.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 Goals and points lead now. He also missed a good portion at the beginning of the season, right? Meh, 7 games. Wish he stayed healthy during his career.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 He also missed a good portion at the beginning of the season, right? He missed the first six games, IIRC. That's probably 8-10 points for him.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 Jets look like the Leafs in the 3rd period...
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 I love those old school Jets jerseys!
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 What do you guys think Tkachuk gets for this... he has a hearing today. http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/tkachuk-drops-doughty-blatant-elbow-face/

My guess is he was trying to nail him in the chest and got it up too high. I really don't think anyone would purposely try to elbow someone in the chin like that.

Komarov got 3 games for an elbow lastvyear, and another guy got 2 a few years ago for a similar type of elbow.

Speaking of dirty that hit by Soshnikov was pretty dirty, he might be hearing from the league.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 As expected... Tkachuk gets 2 games for the elbow.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! cap f***ing filler
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 Huge win. Make a beleafer out of anyone
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 That's a f***ing monster win. I really want to see the trio of super rookies in the playoffs. They're all fun to watch.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 I heard on the radio that if the leafs take the 7th seed, they face Ottawa in the first round. This cant be right?

Yeah that's right I think. The Leafs are unlikely to get the WC1 slot, so they won't be facing the winner of the Atlantic division (Most likely Montreal). That leaves them with the WC2 or the 3rd division slot (Guaranteed playoff spot). Their most likely playoff opponents will be either Washington/Columbus/Pittsburgh (WC2) or Ottawa (3rd seed in division/7th seed in the conference). That's a little messed up considering the Rangers have more points than any team in the Atlantic.

Probably a decent reason to not want to win the Atlantic this year - Having to face the Rangers in the 1st round. lol

It isn't right... they can't get the 7th seed, now 3rd maybe. They'd play either one of Ottawa or Montreal, depends on who wins the Atlantic. If Toronto can't catch Boston or get jumped by the Lightning, etc, they'd face the winner of the Metropolitan, likely Washington. Or no playoffs at all...

Yea I didn't realize how the seeding actually works. By 7th seed I meant they had the 7th best record and would be ranked accordingly. I just don't understand why you would want the teams with the 6th and 7th best records to face each other in the first round

As Frag and havok24 noted, the winner of the Atlantic Division would end up really facing the 4th best team in the conference.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 The Toronto Maple Leaves have 33 wins, 38 losses and are currently in line to compete for the league championship. L-O-L How anyone can enjoy the NHL and its joke of a standings system is beyond me.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 GO SENS GO!!! Ewwww... I just said that.

It's not our fault you were an ankle burner and melted the ice all while others laughed at you, scarring your thoughts on hockey for life. Poor soul, I still like you, bro!
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 Anyone see Crosby's goal yet... disgusting... Yes, that's a one handed pick, lol.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 He's on a goddamn mission to win the Rocket, Art Ross and Hart. Pretty incredible goal!
