connorp Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 Buehler has looked terrible though. Always wanted him in fantasy and inherited him in my league but he’s been awful. Maybe after another month of getting back into it, he can turn it around
BTS Community Moderator Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 (edited) I don’t watch any hockey, but I’m curious, is Connor McDavid going to be LeBron James. Like arguably up with there Jordan/Gretsky? If he’s not that, give me another NBA player analogy. He'll probably be there with Mario Lemieux, Howe, and Bobby Orr in the small tier of 2-3 guys behind Gretzky. Edited June 19, 2024 by BTS

There's no NBA player that's ever been the unanimous best player in the world, for years and years, and never win a ring. Edited June 19, 2024 by Krylian

Yeah but there would be MLB comparables Hard to be the best in the world in the NBA and not win it all. But in baseball, well, you get Mike Trouts all the time.

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 Thanks. Was curious to know as I remember him being referred to as the Chosen One kinda thing. I think baseball hasn’t had one called that since Harper (which didn’t quite come to fruition even though he’s HOF) Vlad and maybe Wander come to mind as generational, but I don’t think Chosen one level was anointed. Wemby like that in NBA I think Can’t think of football comp. Trevor Lawrence was pretty highly regarded
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 Present it. This became uncomfortable
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2024 Posted June 21, 2024 Do Oilers win tonight and force a Game 7?

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2024 Posted June 22, 2024 Shocking. I never, in a hundred years, thought the Oilers could take this to game 7 given how the first 3 games went.
