Look at this absolute failure of a man posing with a blank sheet of paper.

Kinda looks like the signature is there. He might have signed a blank sheet of paper though.

Meanwhile, the team is like 20M under the cap and their only notable offseason addition was Michael Del Zotto.

Ottawa trades talented 23-year old former 1st round pick Logan Brown and a 4th round pick to STL for pending UFA 4th liner Zach Sanford.

The Senators also botched the initial communication of the deal, stating incorrectly that the condition was that they'd only send the 4th if Brown plays 30+ games. Obviously it's the opposite.

You guys see that shitshow going on with Eichel and the Sabres, he failed his physical and they took the Captaincy from him, also, they're fighting over which type of surgery to get done on his neck, he wants a cervical disc replacement but the Sabres want him to do the fusion in there. f***ed up, man. I've had both done, I think Eichel may be damaged goods moving on from this. Most baseball players can't handle the workload never mind a hockey player, I wouldn't go near him, the poor bastard. Sabres aren't doing him right though. Sad.

I think the mistake was more in keeping Brown too long, far after his value had clearly dwindled down to nothing. He once could have been a key piece of a significant trade a couple years ago, but at this point one would think there's more upside in keeping him than trading him (plus a pick) for a player whose equivalent could have been signed in free agency.

I think the prevailing take on Brown, is that he'll never be more than a tweener. Not prolific enough offensively to be a true top 6 guy, and doesn't bring anything else to the table. He has great size but doesn't use it to his advantage, struggles to play the game with enough pace and has been quite injury prone.

Yeah. I'm not even high on Brown, but I don't understand why they'd trade him now for nothing instead of giving him a year of regular playing time to turn things around. Do they really need Chris Tierney?

Dorion announced he's no longer rebuilding and that this club is expected to compete as early as this season?

lol

They will continue to be a regular season nuisance for Toronto. That I can tell you with some certainty.

In case anyone was wondering, things in Ottawa are going about the same as usual:

Sounds about right.

Who's the guy that donated a kidney or some organ to Melnyk years ago when he was sick? There has to be a large consortium of Sens fans who want to throw that guy into a dumpster.

Montreal is going to be awful this year.

Well, Jake Allen is a pretty good back up, but yeah, I can't see them, Sabres, Sens and Red Wings making it out of the Atlantic.
