He's not getting 40. Was it a late hit? Yes. Was it a blindside hit? Yes. Was it a hit to the head? No.

 

I agree, I was pissed off initially, with his history, I think he should get 2 or 3... that was easily avoidable.

But because he signed on December 1, the cap hit this season will be up in the $9M I believe and the remainder will be around $6.5M AAV for the years that really matter.

Nevermind...just hearing the AAV for years 2-6 are $6.9M

Really? they are giving him the full season salary for 3/4 of season? I would of thought that was too bad for him for sitting out like a bitch..

First year salary is pro rated $10M salary (6.77 M) plus a full $2M signing bonus. Net number of $8.77M. AAV of $10.2M.

 

In out years, the AAV is $6.996M.

 

In year two, base salary is $700K, SB of $8.3M.

 

In remaining years, $2.5M in base salary plus $3.5M SB.
