Frag Verified Member Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 Like, f*** me. How did he not go top 3 in his draft?
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 Sloppy game from the Leafs, but a win is a win. They need to bench Hainsey, though. Yeah if there is one weakness on the team, it's Hainsey playing meaningful minutes. That geriatric is finished.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 Nah. Opponents are going to take liberties with Matthews and Tavares, knowing the Leafs don't have anyone to do the same to their own stars. Don Cherry agrees. your argument against "god you're old" is "Don Cherry agrees"? Teams just can't afford to give up power plays in this era.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 Can the League do something with this rat bastard next? This link shows the puke jump him.

Agreed but that wasn't my point. In response to a 50 goal prediction for Matthews, I responded if he stays healthy, which is harder in today's NHL where the stars are not as protected as they used to be.

And you are wrong because the rules have taken the enforcer's place when it comes to protecting players. Like they should have all along.
onwego Verified Member Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 Leafs won. 2 points in just one of 82 half-meaningful games just to get to the playoffs. Tavares and Matthews are legit singlehanded threats to score from anywhere, beat Price thrice with pinpoint shots high and tight to the post. It won’t be exciting but this is a 100 point team barring major injuries, all that matters is the playoffs, and Babcock will rag the season on us till then Enjoy!!!

Laika Community Moderator Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 Toronto is obviously one of the most exciting teams in hockey. Probably the most exciting with Matthews + Tavares and the nature of the supporting cast. - Edmonton is always fun purely because of McJesus - San Jose will be a great time this year - Tampa is great - Pittsburgh is still exciting I guess, Crosby and Malkin Who else is even worth mentioning? I guess Winnipeg, and the first lines of Dallas and Boston.

No there's rats like Marchand, most guide the lines. He gets away with too much cause he's a Bruin star, he's the goof that licks guys and turtles. He knows Eller doesn't fight, the guy's a legit bitch, like Trudeau. Also best conditioned athletes in the world, soccer players have an argument.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 Stay out of your element, meat.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 Stay out of your element, meat. I think you meant to say "you're out of your element, meat"
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 I think you meant to say "you're out of your element, meat" Either, or.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 Either, or. No, the one you said doesn't make any sense.

That d-man that crunched his stick on Matthews' neck while Matthews was on the ice would have been pummeled into submission 10 years ago. As it is, he got away with it scot-free.

Not necessarily, it was logged. Different game Jim, there's no longer Semenkos with Gretzky.

King Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2018 Posted October 5, 2018 How do they manage to do everything wrong?
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2018 Posted October 5, 2018 The two points aside, Max Lajoie looks like a nice find for the Sens. Mobile, poised...could become a steadying presence when he gains some more experience.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2018 Posted October 5, 2018 Craig Anderson is Ottawa... lol. He can't do everything, nice by Kane!
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2018 Posted October 5, 2018 Jets 5 goals 5 different scorers.

Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2018 Posted October 5, 2018 Lmfao Hey... free tickets, lol.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2018 Posted October 5, 2018 What's happening in Ottawa now is basically the majority of my life as a Leafs fan... But without the affordable or available tickets.
