havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 That was a fun game Yep. This team is going to score a ton of goals again this year.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 Leafs have a complete team, top to bottom. Speed and playmaking may be best in NHL.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 That was an enjoyable game. Thank you for the 2 points. Next!!
Laika Community Moderator Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 The Leafs' core is f***ing nuts. Could still use a big ugly shut down defenseman dude. Or two.
JG34 Verified Member Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 VGK claimed Subban earlier in the week and just placed Pickard on waivers.
JG34 Verified Member Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 Marincin placed on waivers, good riddance!
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 Going to the Sens opener tonight. Playing Washington with no Karlsson = I'm expecting them to get Winnipeg'd
TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 Going to the Sens opener tonight. Playing Washington with no Karlsson = I'm expecting them to get Winnipeg'd Sens always put out their best efforts when undermanned. I've been in Vegas the past two years on opening week and noticed the high amount of high scoring games. Made me some solid money last year and last night the Oilers and Flames (who averaged like 8 goals in their games last year) cost me a good parlay win (I got the break even parlay win instead). The Sens and Washington are the one I'm undecided to include tonight.

Seems like you got to see an entertaining game (it is blacked out here...we at least get Edmonton, Calgary and Winnipeg as our local coverage). As for my over bets....I need LA and Philly over for $540

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 It was a great game. Should have taken the over, as it turns out. That was a pretty entertaining game. Building was pretty full too so we don't have to hear about their attendance problems for at least a few days.

Building was pretty full too so we don't have to hear about their attendance problems for at least a few days. Looked like a sellout, but I don’t think they announced attendance. Pretty impressive effort for the team without Karlsson tonight. Just couldn’t contain 8-92 in the third or shootout.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 So Pittsburgh has given up 15 goals in their first two games. Maybe they left the wrong goalie unprotected
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 Marincin placed on waivers, good riddance! Good. Rosen called up. I was hoping for Dermott who was impressive in the pre-season.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 Big comeback by the Ducks despite missing four of their top players
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 Pickard to the Leafs! f***ing A
JG34 Verified Member Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 f***ing A For Lindberg and a 2018 6th. He's reporting to the Marlies, but hard not to like this move.
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 That's a solid move. They moved a non-roster contract in exchange for another so it doesn't have an impact on the contract limits, and in the process get to keep Pickard in the mionrs until that depth is required.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 Excellent move by the Leafs. Goalie depth is a big deal...and this gives them that.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2017 Posted October 7, 2017 This is becoming another blood bath
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2017 Posted October 8, 2017 Ouch! The slow motion part of the replay in particular: http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/penguins-ian-cole-leaves-game-taking-slapshot-face/
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2017 Posted October 8, 2017 Ovi 7 goals, lol. 7 goals before some teams had even played their first game.
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 I think Vegas (the place where you make bet, not the team) is not adjusting to the higher goal counts. A lot more slashing calls are being made. If this trend is permanent (and we have seen this before where penalties get called for the first few weeks then revert back), pound the overs on total goals scored. It's about the time of year when betting CFB and NFL is no longer that lucrative so time to focus on NHL. I have the over 6.5 and over Leafs TT 3.5 tonight. This is the first time I've seen a 6.5 total in a while, but most are still at 5 or 5.5. So go Leafs go, but not Andersen. Need him to give up a few. Leafs are allowed to win, 4-3 or higher
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 The Flames just ended their ghastly losing streak in Anaheim with a 2-0 win. Mike Smith was unreal. That's their first win in Anaheim since Jan. 19, 2004 lol.
