Nox Verified Member Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 Not after QoT adjustments. Everyone on the Flames was negative straight CORSI. Yea, I don't think any of the commonly done teammate adjustments are worth much. It's a far more dynamic system than the simple accounting style adjustments that are used. (That's not a shot at you. I'm just not happy with anything available publicly).
Nox Verified Member Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 FWIW...I found it interesting that media ex-hockey players have brought up his 2-way hockey, and brought up Datsyuk defensively, that's high praise. Any sort of Datsyuk comp is pretty blasphemous.
Frag Verified Member Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 Price, Dubnyk, and Rinne are Vezina finalists. Schneider snubbed.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 Pitt had no chance, no D explains it all.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 Pitt had no chance, no D explains it all. I'm pretty sure it was their lack of offense that did them in more than anything. Four 2-1 losses. Of course, it helps having any defenseman that can make that good first pass out of the zone...which they did not have, with Letang out.
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Calgary eliminates Vancouver. Sweet!

z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 I miss the Habs v Leafs rivalry already ... Could be a boring few years on that front and that sort of sucks.

I'd say the Habs vs Sens has taken it over. Sens vs Leafs doesn't have that same feel to it either. Of the NHL rivalries maybe only Pit vs Philly is a bigger one.

GD Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2015 Author Posted April 29, 2015 and now that the Leafs have started rebuilding, #1 C Evgeni Malkin becomes available lmao
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 and now that the Leafs have started rebuilding, #1 C Evgeni Malkin becomes available lmao I know it's semantics but is Malkin even an "elite" player? Point per game, sure, but I can think of a lot of guys I would want before him.

Laika Community Moderator Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 Depends on definition of elite. Top 30 in game, then of course. Top 10? No. Tarasenko Ovie Pavelski Crosby Toews Seguin Tavares Kane Giroux Voracek Steen Benn Datsyuk (old) Thornton (old) Exactly

Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Crazy ending to the NYR-WAS game. Yes your f***in right. I have the Rangers in my pool so they better turn it around. Oh was that hit good???
Nox Verified Member Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 When Geno is 100% healthy/motivated - easily top 5 C in the game. Unfortunately that combination is becoming more and more rare. He did seem genuinely embarrassed about getting shutout by the Rangers though. That might light a fire under him.

Yeah a few years ago he was a for sure top 3 player. Seems like he is slowing down a bit now but he definitely still has the talent to be a top 5/10 player.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 Wow...Wiese had the game on his stick.
