Well, they've seen Gardiner for more than 2 games. Franson came back and Percy has been impressive, I don't see who you take out of the lineup to put Gardiner in.

Toffoli's shot on that 3rd goal was ridiculous.. Kid is going to be a star. Must be a fun time to be a LA sports fan. Dodgers and Kings are in great position and if you somehow are a Clippers fan then you loving life.

It was pathetic 3 years ago. At this point the NHL should just refuse to give them another top-5 pick.

They have good forwards but there defence is horseshit. Justin Schultz looks to be a Jared Cowen level Dman. And that bad of a defence in the Western Conference is a recipe for disaster.

I'm not arguing that. But he's a frustrating player to watch. It's hard to justify taking a player out of the lineup 2 games after you gave him a 3 year deal and gave him an A. It's small sample but Polak hasn't done anything to get the scratch IMO, he's been solid enough.

The thing is Gardiner can do things that no one else can on that blueline. "Solid" usually means a guy who doesn't make many mistakes but is a "fire a puck off the glass" player. Thats the same thing as turning the puck over. Yeah Gardiner turns the puck over a lot but he also can do a lot of things with the puck no one can do.

No. I wouldn't want to move Gardiner or Kadri and that 2015 1st is going to be very valuable with how good the draft class is this year. I'm not a huge Stall fan though. If you can trade Bozak a 2016 1st and something other than Gardiner that would be a pretty good deal.

 

Edit: just looked up Stall's contract and he is a UFA in 2016. The Leafs won't be a contender until a few years anyway so I wouldn't make a trade for Stall.

Schultz should not be in that list. He is one of the worst defenceman in the NHL and one of the reasons the Oilers suck.
